Does anybody recognize this software package used in this video?
The software appears to be a bit different.
@Jason Dinkel - Skimming through the video, at point I saw some tight gridlines and it reminded me of Microsoft Whiteboard.
Indeed. that's exactly what it is.
Seems to have a better PDF functionality than miro.
It would be nice if Miro would work like liquid text or DEVONthink or marginnote3.
I would like it to treat PDFs as 1st class citizens.
So the import of a PDF and a web page would be in PDF that is searchable and editable.
I'd like to be able to drag text from the pdf to the board and keep the context links back to the source documents.
I'd like to be able to search and highlight as if the text is, well…. actually text.
Today, when I capture a web page, it's a bitmap. That's crazy… It should be a Web Archive like DEVONthink creates or a PDF (also available in DEVONthink and other tools.
And I should be able to annotate the PDF like in those tools.
Perhaps a game with the camera, but it appears as if he is able to keep the web page live, even using tools like google translation on the page while showing it on the whiteboard and writing on it.
See 5:04 already queued up in the link.
@Jason Dinkel :
Collaboard can handle iframes in the same way:
So - as in the example: You can even zoom into a embeded webpage while you are working on your board … it is just a fun to show customers live the content in a seminar.
@mlanders Oops, I think you posted this in the wrong community. You know this is the Miro community and not the Collaboard community, right? 😉
@Henrik Ståhl :
Back to the sentence:
“Today, when I capture a web page, it's a bitmap. That's crazy… It should be a Web Archive like DEVONthink creates or a PDF (also available in DEVONthink and other tools.”
So I cannot help but you should have noticed - I always recommend other tools if miro lacks of the ability / feature that is missing … so done here:https://community.miro.com/wish-list-32/offline-mode-925/index3.html?postid=26804#post26804
and I do this here for Lucid even the same like I’ve done this with …. drumrolls … yes Collaboard
https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/import-diagrams-from-lucid-chart-772?postid=2650#post2650https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/urgently-needed-mirroring-of-objects-6384even if I use the same graphic:https://community.miro.com/wish-list-32/flip-a-shape-horizontally-mirror-feature-157/index2.html?postid=26788#post26788
to other solutions:
No - I’ve been not be payed by someone … the stregth of this community is that we can recommend other tools if they have the ability to get to the result faster and in a better way …
Miro should and have to know that we are working with other tools if we have / need to …
The discussion about the diagramming-packs and the open hints to the competitors shows that miro had changed their mind about adding a feature to the packages …
So it is needed to tell people inside the community:
There are other solutions outside and maybe they do their job better …
So every one can choose wich solution they would like to take and wich way to go …
@mlanders You really had to dig deep there, all posts are 3+ months old. I of course agree that we should recommend other tools to each other. But honestly, a community member mentioning a competitor in >70% of all his posts… I just don't understand why? I come here to read and talk about Miro, not Collaboard or Lucid or whatever.
“I come here to read and talk about Miro, not Collaboard or Lucid or whatever.”
It depends on POV - Your last post,https://community.miro.com/lean-agile-evangelists-106/the-3-kinds-of-product-managers-product-owners-7801?postid=32735#post32735where you linked to this:
… where is Miro in the text …?So
Every one who is here in the community is searching for answers:
and coming back to … the solution with a C …It is beside two others ...Klaxoon / Conceptboard for us Germans the only solution that has an eye on DSGVOSo when Miro doesn’t do it’s homework to cover this what is needed for us German userswho else should do this (and giving hints to alternatives and solutions for users = It is a User Community and not only a commercial platform for pushing miro) as someone who is member of this community right from the beginning?
Just my 2cents
@mlanders That Medium story was published in Lean-Agile Evangelists, a community group about lean-agile workflows. It's relevant for the purpose of that group, is it not? And the group is relevant for Miro users because Miro can be used as a tool for establishing lean-agile workflows. Maybe you should read some of the information about community groups and learn what they're about. 🙂I doubt anyone in this community has missed your stance on the whole GDPR thing because you are constantly talking about it. Time to move on? 🙂
“Time to move on? 🙂”
I’ll do so and enjoy my day:
@mlanders Nice relaxing waves, I like it! Sometimes we turn on the Fireplace for Your Home on Netflix, it’s pretty calming even though you know it’s not real. Have a great evening Michael!
@Henrik Ståhl @mlanders Weighing in here:In my opinion - mention of other software shouldn’t be excluded from this forum for the following 3 key reasons:
