during a video chat, can any member share their screen to the rest of the group if the share is say a google doc or something else 3rd party? or is the facilitator the only one who can screenshare in a Miro meeting? I’m trying to combine services with MIRO video chat replacing our current zoom because we will need a daily group board to edit and need a good combo for showing outside projects within the Miro space and toggling between the miro content and other content depending on the person leading at any given moment. In our case, students showcasing work within the meeting, but using the Miro board as a collection hub and interaction board
Anyone know why the Education plan does not allow video chat? this is essential for our program and having the students as guest editors (with audio only) is going to be HELL in a live session. I was really hoping for this feature for our school. We are global online so we need the face to face in our small groups. I am looking at Mural now because they also have a facilitator lock function that I will have to employ as parts of my board should act like “templates” so the kids cannot alter those, but still interact with adding stickies and moving moveable things around...
Hello Team I am planning to take membership as consultant. I do lot of workshops and members change every weekly. When I purchase plan it shows it change me based on total number of user base price. E.g. If I have 3 members then it’s charging me 12*3= 36 USD per month, I think it’s super costly. Or Am i reading something wrong. Why I have to pay monthly charge for member who will just show up in on meeting? Please advice -How i can take membership where I can pay monthly basic and not on per user basic(as in my case users are dynamic -changes every day)..
Hi, is there a way for me to resize multiple shapes to the same size? We didn’t think through our process thoroughly enough at the start, and now have 1000+ shapes that need to be resized to the same size for clarity. If there is no feature for it, is there a way to script it? I’ve done similar scripts for illustrator but don’t know how I would go about running them within Miro.
I use a white board in my office for my tasks, and I have another in the hallway for tasks I’m working on and have assigned. Sometimes a task on either board is pending for waiting on someone else. I’ve shared the board I created with the Deputy Chief and Admin Assistant, but I the board I’m using is not working the way I want. I want to be able to put a task on the “Hallway Board”, and as users update what they are doing, I can see why the task is pending. Plus it would give them space to add information such as reasons, phone numbers, contacts, etc. I welcome any suggestions or ideas, and if anyone wants to call me to discuss and walk me through, that would be fine also. Thanks, Dave
Hi everyone! I sometimes run digital workshops where participants have a link that can edit during a workshop. But they like the tool so much that they often go back to the board they used and look around. How do I lock the entire board so the outcomes of the workshop are not accidentally changed by someone going back to take a look? Thanks in advance, Layla
I am on a team (annual) plan. As far as Miro policy is, I can’t revert to monthly. If I want 50 collaborators to edit on a board with me for 3 months, on and off, am I better off financially upgrading my team plan to 50 members, or upgrading my team plan to consultant plan and adding them in as day pass users at $3 each time they may or may not come in? Considering that if I take them off the plan after 3 months, will I still get billed for their annual use on the ‘team plan’?
I noticed in the video at 2:18 they create a quick and simple timeline. https://academy.miro.com/learn/course/user-experience-design/running-online-workshops/video-walkthrough How do you accomplish that? I was looking for a function of the line tool to create a “point” that isn’t creating a bezier curve.
I noticed in the Program Increment Planning template there are rectangular sticky notes as a shape. How does one use these shapes in other boards other than using this template? Related, if the template was built by a developer, can we just develop our own shapes like that and add them to our toolbar?
Hi, How can I run workshops with new guests everytime. I don't need to create a team. I run workshops at my company for external clients and with every workshop comes new guests. Is there a way to invite guests to a one time workshop, and what would be the best plan to do so? The maximum number let's say every time for a workshop is between 30 and 40. Best, Bassam
SSO: on the desktop app and iPad app I need to supply full credentials and confirm identity on my phone every time I log on
Hey there, My company have just switched to an enterprise account and we now use SSO to access Miro. Works a treat through a browser, but on the desktop app and iPad app I need to supply full credentials and confirm identity on my phone every time I log on. Anyone else have this issue? Andy
I would like to have a bit of text a bit "hidden"/not as visible and some other text more visible in a board - for example: "How to wash your socks" (the title, this is short and this i d like to be very visible) "Take them off, find powder, find washing machine etc... "(this is a lot of text, and i d like to be totally hidden or almost unnoticeable unless I do something to it so I can read it) I tried using a text box and selecting a part of the text as the title and another as the description (bulk of the text) but the problem is that when you select any word in the text box and change the font size then the whole box changes text. So this wont work I also tried "notes" but this is general for the board and not "linked" somehow to an object. This wont work either. "Comments" have the same issue. "Grids" looks like a workaround. Google drive too (but i have to create so many documents..) Do you have some other way like expand/collapse using a button or any other function? Or
I have been using the jira cards integration with Miro. I typically use it to create JIRA issues directly from Miro; and occasionally also paste JIRA issue URLs into Miro. My cards show the status of the JIRA issue. However, I’ve noticed that status never updates in Miro even though I make changes in JIRA. The only way for me to keep things in sync right now is by replacing the existing miro card with a new card with the latest status, but that beats the whole purpose of the integration. What am I missing here? Is there something in the configuration process that I may have missed?
Dear all I have the problem, that I cannot export my board as a best quality pdf. Every time I tried, few minutes later the process of export is always interrupted by an error: “something went wrong …”. Has this something to do, that Miro has a limitation of data volume? The board is filled with many images and many pages/frames. So maybe overwhelmed with the data size? Please help. P.s. i have a Miro license, so no free version. Thank you!
Hi everyone, I know that there is an article about this in the help center, but I am a little confused about one thing. In the article it says that when you add a team member on a yearly plan you pay for a year. My question is: When you remove them (for example one month later), how exactly do you receive the amount of the unused time back? I’ve seen different answers to this. One was that the amount will be subtracted from my next payment. But what if I will not make another payment (or add a new team member), since we’ve already payed for the year? Thank you in advance! Sarah
Hi, my team uses the Miro MacOS app, and we (daily) need a better way of getting select artboards or objects that live in multiple Sketch files into Miro. For example, we have UI designs and illustrations that live within Sketch files that are used for product design workshops that use Miro for collaboration and product development. We don’t need to have artboards synced or linked from Sketch to Miro - but just need the ability for Miro to accept selected and copied objects - and/or artboards - and paste them into Miro as an image. We’d rather not resort to exporting from Sketch, or having to take a screenshot of the Sketch artboard and bringing it into Miro, which is the current painful workflow. Is there an obvious way to copy & paste artboards or objects from Sketch directly into Miro that we’re missing? Many thanks.
Hi everyone, I’m new to Miro and I was wondering about the guest editor feature. Is there any way to ensure that the access link cannot be passed around? Is there something that prevents other people to access the board who I have not sent the link to but attained it through someone else? If not are their measures I can take? Thank you! Sarah
