Are events.miro and community.miro seperate
Are event & community different sign-ins?I seem to have had to sign-up twice - once to community.miro…. and once to events.miro…. (and is that a third one to just plain mirro…!)Currently wondering if I got this right Within community I couldn’t verify what eMail I used to sign-up. For events I think I used the same one to try to login and it said “doesn’t exists” and accepted the eMail for a sign-up - Am i now creating multiple IDs in different domains? If so there is NOTHING more confusing than having multiple ids with passwords and password aging and composition rules @Marina can you clarify ?
Running two Miro boards in one workshop
I’m going to be running a workshop where we need to cover off 2 persona’s at the same time and I’d like to split the team into 2 and let them work them through then come back together at the end of the session. As the facilitator i’d like to be able to be in both sessions to help. We will be using video chat - Is this possible?
Guest editors - is there a way to ensure that the access link cannot be passed around?
Hi everyone, I’m new to Miro and I was wondering about the guest editor feature. Is there any way to ensure that the access link cannot be passed around? Is there something that prevents other people to access the board who I have not sent the link to but attained it through someone else? If not are their measures I can take? Thank you! Sarah
Solving a team work problem with links
When working with my team and some guest collaborators today, there was a frame with a number of links to other boards in it (sort of a Table of Contents). The problem we experienced was that whenever one person clicked on a link, that link got highlighted, they were sent to the other board, and didn’t realize that the rest of the team could no longer click on that link because it was locked/frozen by the first person who clicked on it.Has anyone else had this issue and how do you solve it? It really slows down our progress because everyone has to wait for the link to become un-highlighted again.--thanks for your help!
Export with Tabulation
Hey Community, I am coming from Xmind and switched to Miro for its collaboration geature. One thing I miss is the ability to export a mindmap with the tabulation that would illustrate the different relationships. I only experienced the CSV which is quite tedious as it puts everything on the same line. Is there a way to achieve that, or maybe a place somewhere in the backlog ;-)
Unable to access a project through JIRA Cards
Hi all, I am looking for some assistance. I have linked Miro to our JIRA instance which has multiple projects on it. However, one of the projects doesn’t appear on Miro when trying to use JIRA Cards functionality. I have spoken to the JIRA admin who has checked the settings and that there is nothing obvious but I guess neither of us know exactly what we’re looking for. Any ideas on what setting we need to change to get this working? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers, Keith
Changes not saved (over two days) in OSX desktop app
I’ve created a new board yesterday and worked on it for many hours. Continued work on it today. Once I was done I gave it a name and closed the tab in the app. Tried to find my board again and couldn’t find it by the name I had given it. Found an Untitled board created by me yesterday but EVERYTHING ON THE BOARD WAS GONE. It only contains a single circle, which was the first thing I drew. There was no indication of any issues over two days. Was using the desktop app on OSX. Raised a support ticket, but “waiting multiple days”. Right now I’m very upset and I’ve lost all trust in Miro. Has anyone else lost changes? Is that a “feature” of the desktop app?
Best way to demote users
My company has an enterprise account with XX number of paid seats. We are just getting started and trying to figure out the best way to do user admin. When we have a few users that are granted full seats, but soon realize Miro is not for them, or they just don’t use it often enough to justify tying up a full seat, what is the best way to free up their seat while still providing them the ability to join boards with view/comment capability? We are using SSO if that matters. At first I just deactivated users to free up their seats, but that seems to knock them out of Miro altogether. I see that making them a non-team user frees up their seat, but will they still have view/comment access to boards? I still want them to have the ability to occasionally participate with view/comment but not edit capability. Searching for a best practice.
Billing - removing team member on a yearly plan
Hi everyone, I know that there is an article about this in the help center, but I am a little confused about one thing. In the article it says that when you add a team member on a yearly plan you pay for a year. My question is: When you remove them (for example one month later), how exactly do you receive the amount of the unused time back? I’ve seen different answers to this. One was that the amount will be subtracted from my next payment. But what if I will not make another payment (or add a new team member), since we’ve already payed for the year? Thank you in advance! Sarah
Give invitees their own boards
Hi Team, This seems like a very basic question but I just can’t find the answer, I am currently on the free plan and inviting people to collaborate all over our business as we go through the very lengthy and red taped filled process of building a business case to purchase. As these people are loving what they are seeing they are wanting to get their own free account to play with but I can not find a way for them to do that as their email addresses are already registered.
Confidentiality of Boards
I use MIRO (love it) with access from one of my clients. When I login I can see their Boards that we’ve created. I now would like to use MIRO with a different client and want to make sure neither will see each others Boards when they login so I can maintain their respective confidentiality - thanks for any inputs :)
Cannot reconfigure Jira Cards
We recently acquired a company and are going to use their Jira instance instead of ours. I need to reinstall the Jira Card integration and repoint to their Jira. I tried to uninstall the Jira Cards Plugin according the the help article located at: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019501754-How-to-Set-Up-and-to-Uninstall-Jira-Cards. The Uninstalling Jira Cards plugin section has a step 2 to disable a webhook. This never shows up when I uninstall. Instead, I see an uninstall prompt and when clicked, Jira Cards seems to uninstall. The issue is when I try to reinstall so that I can connect to the new instance, it just shows as reinstalled without walking through the installation instructions. Does anyone know how I can repoint. This is making Miro unusable for us.
Today I noticed all the contents had disappeared when I accessed the boardWe must get this data back because the next workshop will be held at 2:30 am June 4 (GMT).I have already emailed the support team, but the autoreply said “we have to go through the ticket queue one by one - this delays our responses at least by several days.”Does anyone have advice for this?
