Hello everyone, My company is willing to pay for an expert to teach my team how to use all the features Miro offers us. We would like to know all the best practices Miro can provide us with. Is there anyone here who gives workshops on how to use Miro? Or can you recommend someone? Unfortunetely, not all my employees speak English, so it is a must that the workshop and material can be explained in Portuguese. Thank you for your time and attention! Luiz Felipe
HI there, I am brand new to MIro. Apologies if this has been answered somewhere, but I couldn’t find anything. With Miiro’s endless board. . . I wanted to ask the community if you have any general guidelines you use when planning when to use 1 board v. multiple boards within a project / engagement for example? I imagine there’s many ways to approach this, and am interested to hear different scenarios. Thanks in advance,
Unfortunately the Miro Tech Team and Customer Support Team is not very responsive. We hope they can find the issue for this bug. In the meantime I have to post this here to see if anyone knows if this bug is solvable? After working 3 days on a board, suddenly there was a bug in the system and everything we produced from all participants during our design sprint was deleted from the board, sticky notes, presentations, frames, templates we filled out… we recognized after 1.5 hours that everything from our previous workdays was gone... Anyone who experienced the same issue before and knows if they can fix this? Thanks!
My clients (workshop participant and team members) can invite anyone they want and I will be charged?
Still new to Miro and love so much of the functionality but some things really baffle me. I’m a consultant and am working with a client team on a month-long project (hence monthly passes work best. Monthly passes, to my knowledge, can only be extended to team members, which is fine. However, as a Team member, individuals (non account administrators) can “Invite Members” to join the team - thus extending full licensure to individuals at will (and potentially without our – the consulting firm's – knowledge or approval. When they click the blue button at the Top to “Invite Members,” they can enter an email and extend the invitation, which would result in a charge for the account owner, and also possibly open up participation to a broader set of users then intended. Am I missing something?
Hi - We really like this platform and just started to pilot it. We have the Team License package. We’d like the “Comment Only” users to have more features besides ONLY adding comments. They would like to use the default palette on the left side of screen. While I understand the purpose of Comments, it lacks other features that would help us. Without using another Team Member license, how can I accomplish this? I see there is an External Editors pilot program for Business and above. Can you enable us to this feature for the Team licensed customers? At minimum, can we be part of the pilot program? Thanks much.. Rohita.
Hi guys, I have a question for you. I need to run a workshop on Miro, whiteboard, video-chat and all. The only issue is that at a certain stage, I need to split the audience (about 14 people) in two groups. Each group needs to work on a canvas and be able to chat...without hearing the members from the other group. What’s the best way to accomplish this? Do I have to create two boards, each with its own separate video-chat? Or is there some other solution?
Hi, we are organising a workshop next week and will present something in MIRO (video chat - presentation mode). We also want to show a film (youtube or other) during this presentation. We tried it yesterday in a smaller group, but the audience could only see the film, but did not hear the sound. Can anyone help me on this point? Thanks, Annick
I’ve developed a one-pager template that I can use during 1:1 coaching calls, but I’m going a little insane trying to get it to work. I have everything nice and set up how I want it within a frame with boxes and text fields, then I click the “more” link for that frame and “save as template.” When I create a new board and try to use that template, not all of the elements come across. Some of the boxes come over but not all, and some of the text fields come over (but not all). What am I missing? Does it matter if I’ve “locked” some of the elements like box labels that I don’t want to be easily editable? I’ve made the board public comment-only for now to get help. https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_ktkGvIs=/ TIA for your thoughts.
Hello, this time I use in a clientsetting the option to use the web-page-capture tool. Very usefull this tool. At this time my client asked if I can send them the pdf-file via mail. So the whole project is really huge. I decided to split the mail into more than one part and had choosen the “save as image” entry and choosen then vector-file as PDF. I selected the frame, but miro ignores this and forced me to define the part of the board. So my idea is: Miro noticed my selection and take this as first option to save the selectet part of my board. I taken screenshots how it should be. Michael
When I created an account Miro has served up two teams as a suggestion and I joined one. There I created a mind map. Then I figured it’s a wrong team and left. I joined a new one and than realized I lost access to my board. So I left second team to go to the first one - but now I can’t figure out how do I find it???It’s not on the left any more. Super weird UX :(.
Howdy folks, This might be a pretty specific question, but I’m looking for a way to easily visualize internal links structure of a website using Miro. I have all the data as a CSV file, first column is the Source URL and 2nd column is destination URL. I want to see if there’s any way I could use Miro to import the data and create a mindmap of the relationship between all these pages.
Hi, 30 mins ago I created a new ‘sticky note’ box and then left-click-dragged from one of the 4 side-handles and it made a new box whilst linking them with an arrow… Now, I can’t figure out how to do it! I make a new ‘sticky note’ box and left-click-drag from one of the 4 side-handles but it doesn’t make a new sticky note box, it just drags out an arrow! This loss of productivity is killing me! Have the features changed in the last 30 mins, did I dream it or have I lost all box skills? Thanks
I’m needing to put together a workshop board for a facilitated workshop I do, and I’m wondering if there are folks I could pay to help walk me thru creating this first workshop. I’ve watched the videos, and they are great, but having a more experienced user standing over my shoulder would be helpful. Thanks, Kevan
Recently I had al my stickies with the permanent marker font, but today I opened up my board and they have all changed to some Chancery font (this font isn’t even a normal option for text boxes). Usually there is only two fonts to choose from for stickies 1. Sans Serif 2. Permanent Marker now the marker font is only this weird swashy chancery serif and it is very distracting. How do I change it back to marker??
Hi I am looking for a way to run a concept evaluation in Miro. Right do this via a google form Here is an example: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfDEwkxG9OIC8b-1iAi23-ApOWJ545vmoKV0RTB4lPBlaQYUw/viewform Or we simply provide everything in a big google sheet: What I’d love to show is something like the image below in Miro The concept would be on top The score from participants below (and calculated in MIro) And reasons why it would fail and ideas to improve on the right Could this be done in a smart easy way Embedding google sheets looks very complicated
Hi - we have Team licenses and have enabled the mapping to my Google Drive. I’m able to upload from Drive but not able to download board to Drive. The Google Drive options isn’t even enabled when I try to download. What setting am I missing? Or is this not even available for my license type? Thank you.
