Impossible to work on a board as it keeps loosing connection?

Best answer by Robert Johnson

@Daniel Comollatti - Yes, Miro requires an active connection to the Internet at all times. I have never experienced “reconnecting” issues every few seconds in my nearly three years of using Miro. The only time I see the “reconnecting” message is when a board has been inactive for a while on a browser tab I am not working with (I’m not sure of the exact amount of time) and I go back to that browser tab to work on the board.

To rule out any technical issues with Miro/your account, I would ask questions such as:

  • Is your connection to the internet wired, wireless, mobile?
  • Are you going through a VPN and/or firewall?
  • Does this happen when using a browser or a Miro desktop or mobile app?
  • If there is anyone else on your Miro team, does this happen for any/all of them?
  • Does this happen for everyone board you are on?
  • Does this happen with every internet connection you use?
  • Does this happen with every device you use? Are you able to try another device?
