Order Frames by Name

I use miro for presentations, sometimes upto 50/60 slides, even for in-person events. I love it and it’s great, but adding a new slide means adding a new frame which goes to the end of the list of frames not where I want it.

I number my frames according to section and slide (e.g 2.1). So all I would need to ensure that my slides always stay in order is for an option to order frames by name (treating them as a decimal number).

I’m sure that anyone who creates a presentation in Miro has this problem so it would be a widely used feature without adding lots of complexity to the Miro UI.

Was it helpful?

Yes, same pain here!

I mean, often we’re in the stage of brainstorming and we add and re-order slides often on the canvas.
But if you want to have a nice presentation, you have to be sure that each slide is in the correct order, and that’s still hassle.

When we have the frame overview panel on the left side, we’re only missing a button or dropdown list with eg. the following options: “order by name” (A-Z - Z-A), “order by time added”

A nice to have is to have an option where you can order the slides as they appear on the canvas, from left to right and from top to bottom. Then naming doesn’t even matter. Because adding a slide between 2.7 and 2.8 - you have to rename a lot of slides if you’re autistic. You can also work with 2.75 - but you know what I mean :-)

Thanks!!!!

I notice this feature has now been implemented and I’m already using it. Thanks Miro.
