Issue with Table Editing

Hi everyone,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with table editing in Miro. I can’t click on, delete, or merge columns in a table. Sometimes it works briefly, but then stops again. Everything was working fine last week, so this issue has only started recently.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far to resolve the issue:

  • Opened in Incognito mode
  • Created a new Miro board
  • Logged out and back in
  • Tried a different browser (I’m using Chrome on Windows 12)
  • Tested on a Mac – same issue

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the problem. I have a GIF that illustrates the issue more clearly.

Can anyone help or is anyone experiencing the same problem? Thanks a lot!

Was it helpful?

Hi @Theres,

Thanks for bringing this up and for trying to troubleshoot the issue.

Could you please confirm if you’ve used the Grid app or the Tables app (in BETA)?

I’ve tried both and the issue is not reproduced on my end.

Could you also share if the content you are editing is a customized content or from a template? Further info could also be helpful:

  • is this happening on this board only or can be observed on other boards as well?
  • Are other users/members of your team also encounter the same issue?
  • Have you tried duplicating the board where the issue happened and see if the same is observed on the duplicated board?

Looking forward to assisting you!

Hello there!,
I’m also having the same issue, the controls that we usually would see to manage a grid disappear for unknown reasons and cannot manage the table until some time after.

This happens to everyone working at the board and the issue replicares from board to board.

A workaround that sometimes works:
I literally leave the miro alone for a while and come back. The issue is fixed temporarily.

Hi @Franco Becerra,

Thanks for sharing your experience with this issue! Since this is happening across multiple boards and affecting everyone on your team, it sounds like a broader issue.

As a next step, I’d recommend reporting this to Miro Support with details on when it occurs and any patterns you’ve noticed. You can contact them here: Miro Support.

In the meantime, does refreshing the page or duplicating the board also help temporarily? Let me know, and I’ll update the thread if I learn more!
