Disabling connection lines

Is there a way to disable connection lines from post its and other shapes?

I’m running a workshop with 30 people who are new to Miro, and on a run through people kept accidentally adding connection lines to their post its and getting confused. It can also make the board look really messy!

Assuming the participants have full edit access, I don’t believe there is any way to prevent this. I’d suggest adding a wish list topic for it so folks can vote on it from the community.

I have this same question. We are using the miro board in educational settings with teens and the connecting lines tend to confuse them. A nice option would be to turn these off for certain boards.

Does not seem to be a way to remove connection lines directly. The work-around I use however, is as follows:

  1. selecting the parent to which an unwanted connection line is connected
  2. Cut the parent and paste again.

This will remove the connection lines to it with relatively little effort
