New update: All the formatting is changed. Help!

I had many interface prototypes in my board and all of their colors were changed after the update 🙃

I understand updating the color palette but why are existing shapes’ colors being overridden?? I really hope someone can fix this issue.

The new color palette was introduced to improve accessibility and provide a more modern, flexible set of colors. As part of this, default colors were automatically updated, which we realize may have impacted your existing work in ways we didn’t intend.

I do not intend to speak in OP’s behalf, but I would personally like to know what is meant by “Our teams are actively working on improving this experience”. Does this mean there is a plan to allow reverting to previous colors? Or is it more along the lines of the team being more careful in future updates?

I really hope there is a tangible solution planned for existing projects, even if it is just a small script that automates the process. Like I said in the previous post, I understand updating the palette for a more modern / flexible look, but I really do not see any reason to change the color of shapes that were already in the board.

We’re really sorry for the disruption these color changes have caused and understand how frustrating this has been for you.

We’ve heard your concerns and are rolling out an update to fix this, ensuring your existing content that have used the old default colors from the global color picker stays the way you designed it. This update will take effect within the next few days.

Moving forward, the new default colors on the global color picker will only apply to newly created content, and custom and brand colors will stay the same.

​@Sophia Chia I’m working on a board where half of the elements have the original formatting + colours and the other half have the new formatting + colours - is there any any for me to revert all the elements in the board to the original formatting + colours?

Were the elements on the board with new colors added using the updated color palette?

To clarify, the fix ensures that any existing content that changed colors will be reverted to its original state, as we think that our UI update should not alter user-created content. However, the color palette itself is still being updated—so if you used the new palette to create new content, that content will reflect the updated colors.
