Board blocked for view only

i'm having trouble accessing my board. I was using the bussiness free trial where I recovered an old version of a board of mine, but when I returned to the free version this board is blocked for viewing only, claiming that the free plan has a limit of 3 boards. I deleted one of my boards and was left with a total of 2 boards, but it's still blocked. There's no one else on my team. I'd like to understand why it's blocked when I'm within the 3-board limit.

@Júlia Papini Bittencourt - You will need to unlock the board. Please follow these steps:

https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017731453-The-board-is-locked#h_01F78PPVX6CP4YJNR8B7RYHZER

I will say that the experience could be better as it shows as VIEW-ONLY on the dashboard, but there is message while the board is open about it being LOCKED (but also, again, it shows VIEW-ONLY on the share button when when the board is open). If the board was labelled as LOCKED, it may help with searching for the best answer.

Thank you for your awnser Robert.

when I open the board it says that is locked beacause I’ve reached the limit of 3 editable boards on free plan, but at the moment I only have 2 boards.

Do you know what can I do in this case?

@Júlia Papini Bittencourt - Did you follow the instructions in the link I shared?

Open the board’s share settings and check that the Team access is not set to No access. If it is, change it to something else.

This can happen when board that was created in a paid (or trial) subscription was private, i.e., Team access = No access, but then remains in this state when the paid subscription is downgraded back to free.

Thank you Robert

I followed the steps and the only option allowed is “viewer”. How can I not edit a board of my own team, when there's only me in my team? that's what I don't understand

@Júlia Papini Bittencourt - At this point, I believe there is either a gap in Miro’s sharing/locked board flow (which we may be able to get around) or there is a bug. I sent you a private message via this forum (https://community.miro.com/inbox/overview).

@Júlia Papini Bittencourt - I have gone ahead and converted your post into a support ticket as the message being displayed doesn’t align with what we are seeing.

Confirmed everyone: This is a gap where, a subscription with a private board is downgraded to free, requiring the user to change the team access from No access, however, when no other team members existing on the team, the team access menu is hidden, preventing the user from unlocking the boards.

Solution: Add at least one other team member to unlock the board(s).
