@onthelu - I suspect that Miro will make the announcement in the New & Announcements category when the time comes, so you may want to go there now and use the Subscribe button to get notified.

Mind Map: Convert nodes to Sticky notes/CardsOpen

Copy vs. Convert?With a development background (from many years ago), as I continue to run scenarios through my mind as to the implementation of something like this. Perhaps this would start as: Copy as [sticky notes or Cards]?If the mind map nodes were converted to an existing object (sticky/Card), I suppose it would be a lot of work to make existing objects fit into the context of the Mind Map framework. Ideally, though, you could swap the Mind Map nodes for any single object type.

I am trying to create a “business capability model” in Miro. The Mind Map app has the functionality to create a hierarchy but draws horizontally rather than vertically - and I would want to be able to constrain to only building the hierarchy down the page. Being able to have Card widgets in the tree would be very useful to collect additional information for each node. @Neil Venn And… if the Mind Map could be enhanced to toggle the parent node direction between horizontal to vertical (coming out of the sides or top of the root note), additionally it if the Mind Map could have a feature to convert/toggle the existing bubble nodes from bubbles ↔ sticky notes, this may satisfy @Kiron Bondale’s original ask for a tree structure. I will find an existing additional features for Mind Maps Wish List post and add these comments there

I can't edit my whiteboard

@Richard Brewster From your statement of “5 most recently created boards will be editable”, you have a slightly older account that allowed for five editable boards in the Free Plan - welcome to the club.The same scenario happened to me where Miro was saying I had reached my editable board limit of five, but I could only see three boards in my dashboard. What ended up causing this scenario for me was the fact that I had at one point paid for the Consultant Plan (back when it was called the Professional Plan) for a month or two to experiment with paid features. I had then moved two of my boards from my Free Plan to my Professional/Consultant Plan using the Move to account option.Once my paid account expired, I could see the Consultant Plan team I had created in my dashboard, but could not access it without paying again. When I tried to create a board in my Free Plan, it said I was at my limit. I just lived with this for a bit and when I paid for my Consultant Plan team again, the boards

"Show grid" feature (not grids tool)

@James McElroy The Snap objects board setting only appears to snap against other objects. I too couldn’t find a help article about the Show grid setting - only the other Grids.On a kind-of related note, while searching the Help Center, I did come across a shortcut that I didn’t know existed. When you have Snap objects enabled, you can override this setting by holding the Ctrl (Cmd) key when clicking-and-dragging an object - found that in the Connection Lines help article.

Copy a board from a miro urlOpen

Hi @JeremyJ. Initially I was going to refer you to @Kiron Bondale’s post, 6 ways to provide someone with a copy of a board you own, but I see that the board is in View only mode, so I don’t think it’s possible to copy it - usually I would just do a Ctrl + A to copy the entire board’s contents and then Ctrl + C/Ctrl + V to copy-and-paste it into another board.The board owner can be found by selecting the template, then the three-dot/ellipsis menu, and then Info. Do you know this person and could reach out to them to request a copy of the template? If they agree, they could export the board and send you a copy of it (steps in the above link).--Just a heads up for next time that you may get an even quicker response if you post your questions in the Got a Question? Ask the Community I don’t believe that we can move the posts ourselves, but surely someone such as @Marina will see this and move it

@Daisuke Ikeda If by "take over the data with the current team members", you are looking to copy or move boards from one team to another team, this excellent post by @Kiron Bondale may be just the thing you need: 6 ways to provide someone with a copy of a board you own.If I am misunderstanding your question, please explain further.

(Consultant Plan) Move Project from one team to another...can it be done?

Yep, there’s definitely a way to move boards, but not projects. However, I did just create a new team in my Consultant Plan called Sub team and and when I select a board from my main team called Consultant (Rob), I can select Move to account > Sub team:This… And then… Once in the new team, you could then move the boards into any desired projects.Perhaps this will at least save some time?

Hi @Jason Kehrer. I, too, have the the Consultant Plan and after looking around in my account, searching other community posts, and the Project help article, I don’t believe this is possible. However, let’s wait and see if anyone else here knows something that we don’t, or if they have a clever workaround. Good luck!

@Roger Wheeler Thanks for confirming that I, too, am not losing my mind. I had to re-read the documentation shared by @Kiron Bondale a number of times and triple-check my test steps.@Marina - Would you be able to forward this post along to someone at Miro whom looks after help articles to update the wording of the article? From what we have learned here (and in this post), the statement in bold does not appear to apply to members of a project to which a board belongs to and has been causing some confusion:When you invite a project member, you can set their role (editor, commenter or viewer) for all boards in the project at once. Their access rights to a specific board can then be changed via the board's Share menu.

One tip I do have is, if any of the folks whom you will be facilitating a Miro session with do not already have a Miro account, I suggest that they create an account right away. This will be free and have a number of benefits, including:They can get familiar with using Miro - additionally, here’s a video on Getting Started with Miro: Board Basics. When you do share a board link with them, rather than seeing “Guest Editor” beside their cursor, because they have an account already, their name should show up (they’ll just have to be signed into the same browser that they open your link from). When they load the board you shared with them, they can click the “star” icon beside the board name - now when they come back to their Miro, as long as you have the board publicly shared, it will show up in their Miro dashboard’s “Starred” section.Cheers!

@Kiron Bondale My test conditions are as follows:Three members walk into a Team: Member 1, 2, 3 Member 1 creates Project A and leaves Anyone in your team can view this project set to OFF. adds Member 2 to the project with Can edit access. creates Board A and sets share access to: Team access to board to No access. creates Board B and sets share access to: Team access to board to Can view. Resulting behavior is as follows:Member 1 and 2 can see and edit both Board A and Board B. Member 3 Cannot see Project A Cannot see Board A Can see Board B, but in View only mode. Unless I am doing something wrong, either the information in the Projects help article is incorrect or the permissions model between projects and boards is not working as designed.Are you able to confirm anything different?Note: I did this in the Education Plan, however, I suspect the same behavior for any other paid-type plan, with perhaps the exception of the Enterprise plan.

Hi @Roger Wheeler. From what I have learned lately about Project/Board permissions, in most cases Project permissions override Board permissions. There is a short video clip on the Projects help article that outlines the Users → Projects → Boards hierarchy.From my recent testing of Project/Boards permissions (outlined in this post), I don’t think you will be able to accomplish everything in the ideal flow that you have described.One thing I would be curious for you to confirm is: In your set up, in order to keep Boards to being visible only to those students/members in the Project/course to which said Board were added to, did you have to set ALL Board-level Share access to: Team access to board → No access? (That is tricky verbalize without a specific example!)And finally, back to your list:There will be 13 boards per project (a course is 13 weeks long). I want to:(i) allow editing of the board for the current week for all project members during class time;(ii) change the edited board
