Hear me out… You open the board and spawn at an index that looks a bit like a central station, with departures boards….The departures boards have the names of the various frames/areas of the miro board. When you click a destination, you follow a little animated train along some tracks until you reach the area of the board you’re looking for.Hours of fun! Make it happen please Miro?
When I click on a line connector and start typing it should automatically add text. At present it invokes keyboard shortcuts. After adding a line, the line is already selected, and I typically want to add a text description right then and there by starting to type.
It would be great if Miro Assist Beta could be available for Education plans. Can you explain why not?
Dear MIRO Team,I trust this email finds you well. My name is Irving, and I am the Director of Design Technology at Studio PCH, an architect firm based in Los Angeles CA. I am reaching out to express our satisfaction with your products, which have significantly contributed to our design coordination efforts over the past year.Given our positive experience, I am interested in discussing the potential for further collaboration. I believe a virtual meeting via Zoom or a call would be beneficial to explore how we can enhance our design process by integrating new features into MIRO. This aligns with our goal to continually improve our work processes and leverage MIRO more effectively in the future.Would it be possible to schedule a convenient time for a discussion? I am open to coordinating with you directly or reaching out to a designated contact person if necessary. The integration of new features is crucial for us to optimize our workload and ensure greater efficiency in our design endeavors.I appreciate your time and consideration on this matter. Please let me know the next steps or if there is a specific contact person I should liaise with regarding this discussion.Thank you, and I look forward to the opportunity for collaboration. See ideas we’d like to add into the MIRO tools 1- Free hand crop for images 2- Improve the drawing tools, when creating a line it always links automatically to an image or frame, and it is hard to use lines or arrows 3- Arrows with Text (like bluebeam) 4- Improve text options, (have more options to edit text for presentations) 5- Mirror and image to be able to flip it 6- - Image distortion Let me know if you have any questions, and would be great to discussed this if needed, Thank you! Best regards
As a PO, I would like to be able to select a group of Jira Cards in Miro, then be able to click a button to open an Issue Search in Jira for those issues, so that I can use powerful features like bulk edit, or export from Jira AC:→ Import 10 Jira Cards into Miro→ In Miro, select 6 of the Cards→ Use the “Open Search in Jira” button from the minibar← The Jira Search Page opens and the 6 Jira issues selected are in the search results
This is in the spirit of the Miro AI feature “Remove Background”, but it would work specifically for SVG or PNG, objects with transparency and (ideally) vector functionality. At the click of a button, take the extents of the frame to the edge of the icon object. Would be double lovely if this functionality could convert Text to Shapes, a la Illustrator, and snap the extents of the frame to the edge of the newly-converted object.Submitting because I find that I need to perform this action for over half of the icons I load into my board, double clicking the object and tightening up the frame (gif below). Word to the wise on this kind of action - holding down Alt on PC or Opt on Mac scales around a center point. If you’re confident the frame extends equidistantly past the object, you can use Alt to streamline your masking.
When deactivating users from the Active users page you will get the error “The Team must have at least one admin”. Can we please get the Team that it is referencing in the error? Right now, if the user is a member of 10 Teams, I have to look at each team to try and figure out what one it is.
I’ve seen this idea with regard to development mode and RE the presenter toolbar when embedding on a website, but I haven’t seen it submitted for presentation mode. When in presentation mode, the object toolbar pops open whenever an object is selected. This needs to be disable-able. I have to use objects as “covers” for reveals on frame builds since that functionality is not built-in to Miro, and every time I select a “cover” object to remove it, the object toolbar is visible to my viewers. See the issue: Loom of the issueIf there is a setting to disable this, I haven’t been able to find it in community or support files. While I love designing in Miro, and wish I could present in Miro, this has become a dealbreaker, since I’m receiving complaints from workshop participants about it being distracting; and a client just declined my request to present in Miro due to this issue (so I have to port everything to PPT).
I often link to other boards in my boards as a way of providing easy access to secondary information. But when you open a board preview link to view the content ('source' button), your current board is completely replaced with the linked board.it would be great to either have a back button on the freshly open board, or be given the option to open it in a new tab, otherwise you have to go searching for the original board that held the main content. It's a real flow breaker 😬
Currently bullet lists can be hard to read as there’s no spacing between the points. Especially hard to read on bullets that are longer in length, they display like very long head-melting paragraphs Would be great to add padding between the list items so they are easier to read
Something similar to this: The ability to collapse and group together sub-processes in a flowchart to summarise a flow
Would love to have the ability to auto number diagramming shapes in order to easily reference them in other areas of a Miro board or text. There is another idea out there for numbering stickies - hope both could be done!
I have the Miro desktop app installed on my machine and it is how I intend to use Miro. When clicking on a Miro board’s URL link, it opens in the Miro web browser app instead of the desktop app. Once opened in the browser app I am then redirected to the Miro desktop app.The trouble with this is it requires excessive and, sometimes, unnecessary authentication, making for friction when attempting to use Miro. Here are two scenarios outlined that I face nearly every time I want to use Miro... Logged into desktop app, but logged out of browser appIn this scenario, even though I intend to use the desktop app I still need to log in to the browser app. My organization uses MFA through a physical security key, making it a bit more involved to log in than just entering the username/password. This isn’t Miro’s issue, but being faced with this when my intent is to use the desktop app and not the browser app means it is a meaningless barrier.Logged out of both desktop app and browser appOften times I am logged out of both apps due to time out. In this scenario, I need to first login and re-authenticate via the web browser app, but then once I’ve completed the above process and I am redirected to the desktop application, I need to do it all over again. Getting to see my board in the Miro desktop app usually takes… I need to count them… maybe around 8 pages/interactions? Miro is the only app I’ve come across with this kind of barrier to entry. Zoom, for example, re-directs me to the desktop application immediately upon clicking a related URL.I’d love to see an option for default URL direction to happen to the desktop application instead of the browser app. This would be a huge improvement for UX and address an accessibility issue I’ve seen a growing number of Miro users on my immediate team complaining about.
Take a look at all the best designed miro boards and how many shape or text box or widget borders are NOT transparent. I would guess most are transparent and the user had to make it so. I don’t know any designer who would prefer to see a border than not. Please just make it default transparent thank youuuuuu
