Pasting text as a sticky

As a UX Researcher, I sometimes use notes from different software to then paste into stickies. 

I can’t find an easy way to select a sentence, and then directly paste it as a sticky. 
Instead, I have to select a Sticky, copy it, paste it, then go back to my document, copy again the text, then paste it in the sticky. 

Could I paste the text as a sticky directly, instead of apsting it as a text box? Could there be a way to select which way do I want to paste text as?
