I was shocked to see that real-time collaboration (along with the collaborators' cursors) is possible in the Confluence Draw.io app.PLEASE bring this to Miro, and quickly!A blurry GIF of the Confluence + Draw.io experience (blurred to protect privacy):
Currently sharing a board for Editing allows editors to edit all content (only owners can protect content from being edited by non owners)what I’d like to see is another level of sharing - Self-Edit - where Self-editors can add content (but not hide existing content) and edit their own content, but cannot edit/move/delete others’ content (board owners would still have privileges to edit anything, or lock anything)why I want to do this is to have discussion on contentious topics and that requires that users not be able to delete other’s content that they disagree with.
I would love to see support for CJML from Sintef. Read more on the standard here: https://www.sintef.no/en/expertise/digital/sustainable-communication-technologies/user-journeys-and-customer-journey-modeling-language-cjml/It is basically a more structured way of makeing user journeys, similar to UML for systems design.
It would be nice to make the sidebar size adjustable when looking at the list of boards so that longer project names are visible.
After the voting, mark the top-voted items in any way. Currently we cannot see the votes, unless we open the voting, but it would be beneficial to be able to see the votes on the board without having to open the voting.
Currently stickies in bulk mode are always square. I would prefer to be able to select between square and landscape in bulk mode.
There are separate widgets from horizontal tabs versus vertical tabs, but only one widget for radio buttons and one widget for checkboxes. In many of our screens, we want our radio buttons to be side by side horizontally, not stacked vertically like this:Is there a way to achieve that? Or is the only way as a workaround by putting multiple instances of the radio buttons on the board, which has an unfortunate side effect of allowing both radios to be selected, which isn’t great visually and could lead to confusion for some users.I suggest we either add a toggle to the widget to allow horizontal vs vertical (preferred), or add a separate horizontal radio button and horizontal checkbox widget to the wireframe components.
Hi there!!Wouldn’t be great if a card (in a Kanban framework, for instance) with a due date past could be automatically highlighted by the system? Or if an alert will pop-up to show a card is in its due date, or past it?Alex
When a user creates an issue in Jira, it uses that user as the Reporter. Many Jira instances only allow Project Admins the Modify Reporter permission. Even when users have that permission in the project, Miro does not seem to check it and instead has updated the FAQ to instruct the use of Application Access - Any Logged in User. Community Question - https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/jira-cards-can-t-fill-assignee-reporter-9864?tid=9864&fid=45 FAQ - https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017572654-Possible-issues-with-Jira-Cards-and-Jira-add-on A user should not need Modify Reporter in order to create an issue. This request is to remove this validation and keep things simple by checking only that the user can in fact Create / Edit the issue. Should a team need the ability to change the reporter, they could do so back in Jira where the permission would be accurately reflected for users. By employing the workaround, it’s making it so all users can modify reporter outside Jira, which is not an ideal situation and could even cause audit issues for some projects/teams.
Currently JIRA cards will only allow you to a different webhook per JIRA card integration installed. We have 50+ teams, which means a lot of webhooks created. We’d like to have the option to supply the webhook address so we can use the same webhook multiple times.
Our organization has its corporate brand, and some business units have their own “sub-brand”. Ideally we would want to configure the corporate brand at the Company level, then individual Miro teams should be able to configure a brand kit at the team level as well. We would also like to be able to upload our logo into Miro for easy use on boards. All Miro teams under the Company should be able to use the Company level brand kit, but the team brand kit would be only for the Miro team that configured it, part of Team Settings. Specific examples of what we would want to configure:Our corporate brand (Company level) 6 primary colors 8 neutrals colors 3 versions of the corporate logo (e.g. full color, black, white) My business unit’s brand (Team level) 8 primary colors 3 accent colors 4 neutral colors 2 versions of the business unit’s logo
The idea is to give the admin the hand to setup the complexity of the password for all boards.Like minimum 10 characters with special characters to avoid having simple passwords of 8 characters as it’s setup now ( for example : 12345678 is possible )
Lucidchart supports running system queries against your database which then autogenerates an ERD based on the output. Be pretty sweet to be able to do that in Miro.
Hi there, I just wish if your team could do a smart copy tools for sticky notes! I was doing my project and I do find it’s quite tiring when I start to copy the sticky notes with format number and it doesn't follow the format. I wish your product team would consider this!
automatic resizing that adjust the shape size based on text content This is my chat with assistent:Can I enlarge the shape to fit the text?Yes, you can enlarge the shape to fit the text. To do this, you can select the shape and then use the resizing handles to increase its size. This will allow more space for the text to fit within the shape. Is there not an automatic resizing?I apologize for the confusion. Currently, there is no automatic resizing feature in Miro that adjusts the shape size based on the text content. You will need to manually resize the shape to accommodate the text. I would like to have such a feature in the future. Can I hope so?As an AI assistant, I don't have access to Miro's development roadmap or future feature plans. However, Miro regularly updates its platform with new features and improvements based on user feedback and needs. I recommend reaching out to Miro's support team or checking their official help resources and community pages for the most up-to-date information on upcoming features. They will be able to provide you with more accurate information regarding the possibility of an automatic resizing feature in the future.
Problem: Auto optimize layout with a board with more than 1000+ cards with WebSDK, will be easily stopped by ‘API Rate Limiting’.Case:use miro.board.get({}) once to fetch board items information layout computation on each item’s new coordinates and update each board item for each item use item.sync with boardMy Wish is to have a batch board item update WebSDK api to avoid hit the limit so easily.
If the Item is Deleted from the DevOps Backlog, this item doesn't affect the Miro Item. It should be an indication, that the deleted item is no more available or gray-out. It isn't synced with Miro. Currently only get errors if you try to `edit`. Please add a patch for this. It is really important for collaboration. If there is another way to understand item does not exist anymore, I would like to learn it.Thank you.
I would love to make it possible to write a quick comment that shows right next to my cursor. In this way I can make it more engaging and conversational when we collaborate on the board.
Current status: When duplicating a frame, any locked objects in the original frame become unlocked in the new frame. It is unclear what the benefit of this is. Expected Behaviour: It’s more sensible to assume that if there is locked content, that it is locked for a purpose and that this should continue into the duplicate frame Benefits: Immediate use of frame as it should be Save time not having to re-lock everything (again!) Preventing errors of not locking all that should be locked Saving frustration of unexpected behaviour 😅 Use case 1: I am running an open workshop with unknown participant numbers. More people come than I have exercises set up for, so I must duplicate an exercise frame.BUT the frame contains important content that shouldn’t be moved, so mid-workshop, I need to take the time and focus away from the group to re-lock specific objects rather than maintaining the flow for the participants. Not great for facilitation Use Case 2: I have a master Presentation Slides board with over 100 different slide templates on it. Each of the slides has certain locked elements that shouldn’t be changed (Header / Footer / background shapes etc.).When I copy the frame to a new board, all locked elements unlock and I have to do the process of re-locking again. It makes me go a bit grrrrrrisly bear 🐻
