When aligning objects (say vertically), all object get aligned to the average vertical position. This disturbs some other alignments. Instead, the selection sequence should be given priority. for ex.For aligning rectangles A and B: I select B first and then press ctrl + click (on A), then click align vertically In this case it should keep B in its place and move A to align with B, instead of moving both to an average height.
Simply flabbergasted that this still hasn't been implemented yet.MS Word allows by:Hold Shift and Ctrl then + key for superscripts and - key for subscripts. This must be a feature that is reasonably easily implementable surely?? Apart from this major gripe, keep up the good work guys and gals. *High five*
In miro API currently we can create connectors using startItemId and endItemId, however on boards it is possible to create connector/arrow without this parameters. It will be nice to have possibility to send POST request in order to create connectors also using just x and y positions of start point and ending point :)
Most of the time solution guys has feature lists are there in the excel sheeet which can be cumbersome to create mind mapping out of it. Can Miro import excel data and create a mind map, which can be reorganized by the user by just drag and drop? Drag and drop another add on feature.
Currently the timeline widget is in beta so it is understandable that it would have some limitations. However it would be nice if the finalized version of the timeline would be able to have simple dependencies (FF, FS, SS, SF) from record to record and be able to have those dependencies has some sort of control over how those records move when dates change.
Thanks for the layers option. I have for instance used it to make a diagram of a data flow, where each business flow is a layer on its own. In this way, it is easy to see and edit each business flow. Now I want to copy this to another board. So I need a feature, where I can mark an area of the board (e.g. a frame) and make a copy of everything, including information about layers. Alternatively, I could mark the layers I want to copy in the Layers panel. So when I paste it into a new board, I can continue working with the layers.
Hello everyone,We really like using the Sprint Planning Template to plan the coming year for our team. Now, we also have topics that more than one person is working on.We would like to be able to add more than one user to a record. I haven't found a way to do this because the previous user is simply replaced instead of being able to enter 2 or more users.Thank you for your efforts!
Hello,I am enjoying the feature of integrating Jira into our Miro board especially when using it for user-story mapping. But one big big issue is that the status of the cards is not updating. So we have to manually compare the sprint board with the user storyboard if all stories for the last release are done. It eould be awesome if the cards would update automatically with changing status in Jira. Thanks a lot and keep up the great work!
Most of our users spend time in boards and not on the dashboard. It used to be that teams would be listed along the left side of the window and users could go to other teams from there. Now when working in a board on one team there isn’t anywhere in that view to move to a different team to find a different board. In order to get to teams from a board you are 5 clicks away and it isn’t very easy to find. Please make it easier to find a users Teams from within a board.
The What’s new in February 2025 blog post announced that we can now pin Teams: However, this appears to be stored client-side/in a cookie, so if I sign in to a new machine or have cleared my cookies, my preferences are lost. This is unexpected and does not follow other pinning patterns in Miro, e.g., pinning apps to the Creation toolbar (which are always remembered/stored server side).
A feature we’d love to see is around inheriting content. At the moment, there’s no real way for us to filter boards by who created them (as opposed to own them). This means if you inherit the content of somebody who’s left the team/the business, you can’t figure out which boards were theirs in the first place! Some kind of email notification to let you know you’ve been designated to inherit their boards/templates - and ideally what those boards/templates are - would be fantastic. 😄
Export as Image PDF does not work completely Vincent VC 1 month ago When I export my board into Image PDF, it is not 100% image PDF. Some text is recognized and searchable. I need a 100% image PDF as I need to use other AI tools for digesting the screenshot and content as Miro does not recognize the image at this moment. Thank you! Miro_Export_Image_PDF_Bug.png Rai 1 month ago Hi Vincent, Thank you for reaching out to Miro about the exported image PDF. We'll be glad to look into this! As I understand, you'd like to export an image PDF with all content, including text, converted into a non-searchable format. Is that correct? If you have a different goal, feel free to provide additional information (board URL, device type, browser version, etc.) and we'll be sure to check! Meanwhile, I've got in touch with the team internally to check and investigate your case. I'll let you know as soon as I receive an update from them. Please bear with us! Warm regards, Rai MiroCheck out our Help Center | Join Miro Community Robert 1 month ago Hi Vincent, Thanks for your patience while we looked into this! My name is Robert, and I will be stepping in here to assist with your request. I wanted to provide an update that I am looking into this in a little more detail with our product team to see what might be possible here. Please hang in there while I await their response - I'll be back in touch as soon as I have more information to share. Thank you! All the best, Robert Miro Check out our Help Center | Join Miro CommunityRobert 1 month ago Hi Vincent, Thank you for your patience while we discussed this with the team. When it comes to exporting a PDF to make it un-searchable, the best recommendation here would be to export it using the small file size option: Using this option, the text in the PDF should become unsearchable and comply with your needs for your AI tools. When it comes to exporting using higher quality and vector PDFs, there unfortunately is not a way for you to do the export and make the PDF unsearchable for text, as this is built into the functionality. That said, I think adding this functionality to the high quality PDF export option is a great idea. Currently, our team receives feature requests and product feedback via the Community Forum. This helps centralize all ideas and feature requests, offers visibility and transparency to every Miro user, and ensures that our product teams review them. To this end, could you please head over there and submit your idea to our Wish List? Rest assured, creating a profile in the Community takes less than a minute, and you can use your Miro credentials to sign in. From here, you’ll also be able to discuss possible workarounds with other Miro users and upvote the features you’d like to see in Miro. Here is a handy guide to get you started on how to navigate the Wish List: Wish List: Everything You Need to Know. I hope this makes sense! Please feel free to get back in touch at any time if you have further questions that we can assist with, we'll be here to help. Have a great day! All the best, Robert Miro
As of this post, the available board-level roles are:Owner of a board can define who can have access to the board, can delete and duplicate the board, configure board content settings, move it between teams or projects, set up a password, and save the board backup. Ownership can be transferred to another user Co-owners of a board can perform almost all the actions available for a board owner Editors are users who can edit the content of the board Commenters can view the board content and leave comments visible to other users on the board Viewers can only view the boardSource: Roles in Miro Help Center article. Proposed New Role: ContributorI am proposing a new role in between an Editor and a Commenter. The new role could be called Contributor. This role would only edit the objects they have created.Other Potential RulesAs it exists today, Owners, Co-owners, and Editors would have full edit rights for any objects created by any role. Locking rules will be as they are today. This one gets tricky: Should the Contributor role be allowed to place an object over top of an object they didn't create? (With the exception of Frames and adding Comments to objects.) I could see this being problematic where they want to add a Sticky Note to an object, or if they are trying to added an object to a rectangle shape where there is a blank space – so now does locating text in that rectangle need to occur? Or what if they board owner use an image as a background? I suppose I am overthinking this and the MVP would be keep the existing functionality and monitor feedback to see if there is even a problem to be solved.Use CasesA guestbook or farewell card. An unsolved murder board where you are asking for feedback/contributions – this was my recent use case where I wanted to suggest that a true crime podcast could use Miro to show all of the details they know about a case and then ask their listeners to add any information they may have about the case to the Miro board. This would be Visitors access/Anyone with the link → Can contribute. Any time you want to ensure that participants are not deleting other participants content. Lean Planning board – as per @Matthijs oude Lohuis‘s comment below.Thoughts/Feedback/Vote!Please leave a reply with anyadditional use cases that come to mind, tips/critiques. And of course, please upvote the idea if you like it!
We use Miro for training classes and give the attendees a pdf export of the board at the end. However while text based urls work the in export the embedded videos do not. I don’t expect an embedded video in the pdf but it’d be nice if when I embedded a video it also had the option to automatically add a text link to it underneath so that would then be clickable from the export.
Hi Miro team,Love the new table and timeline view, and we’re keen on using it to build out our function’s roadmap. We’re assessing Miro alongside ClickUp and Excel.I’d love to see a batch edit function on the Table view. If I could select multiple items and change the start date to the same day, that would be ideal. I know ClickUp can do this and so can Microsoft List (gross). Thanks,Ansel
Hello!I’ve found a question about adding items (lines, paints etc.) through API from 2 years ago. Connectors have been already added since that time. Are you planning to add the possibility to post paints? They are returned from API, but there is not much I can do with them. The shape of a painted object is also unavailable. Or maybe do you have an idea how to get/post paints?
It would be great to have the align function in all the timeline templates so you are able to center the text in the timeline boxes.
As of this post, the default behaviour for a mouse wheel seems to be scroll while in focus mode, e.g., Doc or Table. With my navigation set to Mouse, I expect that wheeling my mouse wheel up/down will out/in.
Hi Miro! Thank you for accepting user ideas! ideally the Timeline Beta would be able to be exported to .csv format.
Allow a global preference to dock the popup that shows up when you select something. Sometimes I need to change fonts or text based on something above my selected object, but its being covered by the pop up. Please please please make it an option to dock this pop up at the bottom.
I predominantly use a mouse, and the wheel to scroll. I found that I can scroll vertically through the apps in the left-vertical content creation toolbar (sticky notes, frames, cards, etc.), but when I open the Stickers and Emojis app and need to get to the a sticker pack down/over in the list, e.g., Miro Monster, horizonal scrolling does not work.To get around this, I have to either mouse-wheel though the stickers themselves, or click on the farthest right sicker packs to advance the list towards the end.My Wish List IdeaTo be able to be horizontally scroll left/right by wheeling my mouse up/down. I believe some CSS like this could work → https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18481308/set-mouse-wheel-to-horizontal-scroll-using-cssWorkaroundsThere are a few workarounds, includingHolding the Shift key while wheeling my mouse Pressing down on my mouse wheel [button] and moving my mouse left/right.
I love being able to share my Miro boards in calls within Microsoft Teams. I especially like navigating a board which all the call members already have access to outside of Teams, but it’s nice to embed the interface in the call. The trouble is that while the others can edit stuff just fine, Miro doesn’t recognize who they are. Please can the Teams app look at each user’s email address and link them to their Miro profile, so any changes they make are recorded under their names, not ‘Anonymous Aardvark’.Thank you!
