I wish there was a way to perform a “replace all” on text, within the document so that if I create a template, I can easily update all the text within by using placeholders (i.e. find and replace all instances of “<Client>” with the client name).

I can’t believe that Miro doest’t have this essential functionality. This is unheard-of!

Absolutely essential, especially as a developer. I started evaluating Miro as a developer prototyping our code flow. We changed the name of a var that was used in 50 different places, and… well, that was 🔥 to manually replace. It’s very common to change vars and as projects/flows/prototypes get big, this gets crazy.

Edit: 768+ votes … 4 years ago?!

Absolutely. It is surprising MIRO hasn’t considered this request yet. It is a huge productivity booster and improves reusability of the board hugely. MIRO team, if you are listening, you would get blessings from so many users all around the globe by implementing this. Consider this high on priority please.

Hope someone is listening…

over 1 month, “we will checking” - did you checked? 🙂 Thanks

I thinks this is technical not possible in Miro, because it make not sense that is over 4 years not implement.  Please tell the community that it is so. if not community hope and hope and hope.. thats lifetime waste. Please tell us the truth. Thanks

It is interesting that such a common feature as Search/Replace is not only not available, but an idea that has been opened for 4 years… Do these ideas ever get implemented? 🤔

And it's one of the Top Voted ideas…

Why is any company even using this without the simple and vital function to find and replace text?

This is a 4 year topic.  What a massive waste of time and work for everyone to not be able to simply replace text.

Fix it.

Please develop this soon. It’s been a long time since it’s been requested, and looks like it would benefit many users.

This needs to be done.
I just lost an hour.

Max pain.

Holy beans batman, this request is 5 years old!? Miro is great for some things, so I do come back to using it, but the lack of find and replace is a big deterrent for me. And I don’t mean a wholesale find/replace for an entire board… that would be almost as useless as the current situation. We need to be able to do wholesale find/replace and also selective find/replace. And the find feature needs to have options for wildcards and exact match. Microsoft office applications have a good find/replace… just copy what they did.

Once again, a simple, table-stakes feature has been kicked down the road. What “enterprise” product for creating/editing information doesn’t have this basic functionality?

@Miro can we please please implement this feature? You’ve already got a search function, it can’t be so hard to build a replace function as well. It is such a pain to manually replace texts or use third party plugins for such a trivial task.
