Why we need it:

Times consuming without the alignment - a big mess with the slightest changes. (And lots of frustration for alot of users experiencing alot of resistance to workflow in Miro - As if the promises of miro’s features are right there but just out if reach because they don't work together and all the extra work and resistance created by this missing feature.)

  • Group: Auto alignment(or better yet; locked alignment that allows personalized spacing and grouped movement)
  • AND *collapse pairing*
  •     (allow images and objects to collapse \ hide with the collapsed nodes for workflow and “digestibillity” of the content)

 These are absolutely essential for mind mapping! I would be using Miro if it had these features. Currently I am continuing to pay for ConceptDraw MINDMAP even though I would much rather have an online platform like Miro to do this.

This is exactly what I’m looking for if I understand it correctly.

I have a slightly different use case but the principal is the same.

I’d like to be able to group any object and hide/collapse that group. The thing that made me think about it was for project planning where I have a bunch of cards representing tasks that can be moved in to a collapsed area when they are done so they aren’t constantly on show. e.g. what might happen in a kanban tool when you mark a status as ‘done’ and it automatically moves to a hidden lane.

I could also see this being useful for ideation sessions where you want to move ideas in to a parking zone for later consideration but don’t want them visibly on the board to distract people from the current session.
