Wish we could copy locked elements!

When I create multiple identical frames for breakout rooms, it is super frustrating that I can’t lock the master/first copy, and then duplicate across all breakouts. Instead I have to leave everything unlocked and then individually lock each element for each breakout. This is especially frustrating since I can’t Select All then Lock since most of my frames require some elements to remain editable - i.e. I need to select each one individually. Please fix this! (Maybe allow copying in normal lock but not the protected lock??)

Was it helpful?

Hi @Carol Azzam Mackay, totally agree that duplicating a frame loses locked elements. Not sure if you solved it, but my workaround is to set up the frame exactly how I want it (including locked elements), and then add the frame to my templates library.

Then when you add form the template library, it adds the content to the board in the same format as it was saved.

You can edit the template directly, so any changes can be applied to future instances you drag.

Hope that helps!
