Auto-layout becomes a burden on large mind maps. It leaves a lot of -sometimes not necessary- empty spaces but worse does not really manages complex mind maps that may not be 100% hierarchical*.

While globally the auto-layout makes total sense, there needs to be an option to switch it off… or maybe the auto-layout should not be applied when manually moving a topic but only when a new topic is added to the map. That should be easy to implement.

Then, ideally, when creating a new topic, the auto-layout would manage differently the topics you moved manually, by keeping an underlying link with the related/close topics (distance...)

*While my example could have been made through a workflow, mind maps often need complex relationships between items that one needs to optimize on display.
