Hey all,

I'd like to delete and move boards from a 'free' tier team to our subscription tier team. But the options seem to have disappeared from the board menu. Specifically: 'Move to account' and 'Delete'.

They are present in the paid tier account.

Does anyone know how I can move or delete these boards from the free tier team?

Dear Kiron,

I’m with Wouter. I have the same problem and the article you posted doesn't answer the question. Until last week it was possible to move boards between accounts (paid and free versions). You opened the three dots and there you could choose to move it to another account. Now this is not possible anymore, even though I’m the owner of several boards.

What is about the workaround:

  • Open the board with all the content you’d like to import
  • Select all elements on the board using Ctrl+A/Cmd+A shortcut
  • Click Ctrl+C/Cmd+C shortcut
  • Move into the other empty board
  • Click Ctrl+V/Cmd+V shortcut
  • Now everything is on your new board
  • Name your new board

I know that this is not the shortest solution but it might help you

yeah tried that one already. It’s just super annoying with huge boards and everything locked :D

But I already contacted Miro and they work on it.

I’m surprised this approach wouldn’t work - I just tried it with my free account and my paid account. By linking a board from the free account to my paid account, the free account showed up as a team. I could access the free account board, duplicate it, export it to an RTB file and then restore it to a team in my paid account.

yes it’s working again, I talked to Miro and they had an issue but fixed it quickly. :)

Update: “Move to account” has been renamed to “Move to team” (finally!)
