Question

Map tag values to Jira card fields?

Hi there,

Is there a way to use the tags to map values from sticky notes to different Jira card fields?

My team has a default project template we start with for Jira projects. When we work in Miro, we use a sticky for each issue and we estimate it (hours, not story points currently) and we assign that estimate to a tag. So a sticky task that takes 2 hours gets a tag with “2” on it. When we complete our estimating, we then total up the values (separate pain point: we export to CSV, sum the values in Excel, and add in a percentage overhead, then paste an image of that back on our Miro board), and then convert the stickies to Jira cards.

The problem is that we’ve already estimated each task in our template, and modified it as needed to get our estimate. Then we have to go through and edit each task again once it’s a Jira card in order to set the values we already had. Is there a way to use the tags to map values from the sticky to different Jira card fields?

I’ve been looking at the Miro and Atlassian information online and I don’t see a way to do this, but I may be missing something. I considered using the CVS export to import into Jira, but that seems excessively clunky since we have so much already with Jira Cards.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can provide!
