Copy and paste is not working

If you are the owner of the boards, then things to check:

1. Are you using the keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V) for this?
2. It is possible that copying content has been disabled by the team administrator (see https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018350399-Board-content-settings)

Yes, I am the owner of the board. I am on a free plan as I use Miro for personal projects. I have tried using the shortcuts, no joy. It seems to paste for a second then disappear …

It seems just the one. There is a lot of work done on the board.

Having the same issue.  If I copy it doesn’t copy, but pastes my last copy from another application, unable to move anything between boards, unless I save as image and then import directly.  

Hi. I have the same problem as well. I cannot copy and paste any content from any of my boards. 

• copying and pasting on the same board does not work
• copying and pasting on different board does not work
• copying and pasting from other apps works (eg. illustrator)
• I am using the Miro App.

I might suggest trying with browser access to see if the issue is limited to your desktop app. Also, how are you doing the copying & pasting? I’d recommend using Ctrl-C & Ctrl-V rather than trying to do it from a menu option.

i just check and with the  browser it works fine. The problem remains with the app. 

I am using  Ctrl-C & Ctrl-V. 
 

Any suggestion on fixing this issue on the Miro App?

Is the app downloaded from the Windows store or was it from the Miro website itself as the former is an older version?

It is from the Miro Website, I'd assume. I am using a corporate account, which the link to download was provided to me. I am using a MacBook Pro.

Nothing else comes to mind which could prevent copying & pasting content within the same board so I’d suggest creating a new simple board with just one sticky note, confirm you cannot copy & paste that with the app, and then log a support request with Miro here and provide the URL to the test board: Submit a request – Miro Support & Help Center

Try:

• Clearing your cache
• Disabling extensions

Worked for me.

In web-version MIRO use Ctrl+Shift+C  -  and be HAPPY!
I also ran into a problem when I could not copy an image from MIRO to Photoshop (or another application such as Notion) - but they suggested a magic recipe to me.
And it really works!

Please help. I am having the same problem. Copy and Paste is not working.  :-(

Lucky you! Still not working on my Free Plan PERSONAL board (Firefox… logged out and in, cleared cache).

@John Das - If the board this is happening in is labelled as “PESONAL”, these boards are a beta feature. Miro is aware of the the copy-paste issue in these boards and will fix them in a later release.

For context, here is what a personal board looks like from a Miro dashboard:

 

It seems the copy paste bug has made it to the normal boards as well.
This has made using Miro a lot harder :(

I also have this issue today.

Mac + Firefox, GA version.. copy paste does nothing.. it only pastes what I previously had in the clipboard (from another app).

Win11 + Firefox here.
Indeed, paste still works, but copy doesn't.
Tried it in several boards, and 2 different devices, no luck

I switched to Edge and it is working. Firefox it is not

I tried it in Chrome, and there it also works.
So the bug seems to be limited to Firefox.
