Can not paste instagram links in any form besides plain text

When i try to paste instagram link (for example https://www.instagram.com/p/B4M6MM2AHx7/ ) I have just a line of text as the result instead of rendered web page preview. When I try to use your “web Page Capture” feature it gives me an error but clearly link is correct

How can I pase Instagram links so I could preview vids/images in miro?

Was it helpful?

Hi @Alexander Vinogradov,

I’m afraid there’s no integration with Instagram, and that’s why it’s impossible to embed Instagram videos :pensive:

You’ll find the list of services that you can embed in the article - Embedding Media to Boards.

I think you’ve misunderstood the question. Its not only videos.
Here is a video demo:

On the left side, I paste a link just to the random website: https://www.thewitcher.com/us/en/monster-slayer

On the right side, I paste a link to another random website: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJt1R-wjPmw/

On the right side, I get an error and the link is pasted as text (even without a clickable link) instead of rendered preview preview. I was asking about video preview feature just in case you have one. But generic static previews not working as well

Hey @Alexander Vinogradov,

Thanks for the clarification! I’ve converted your post into the support ticket, the team will investigate if it is expected behavior or a bug. They’ll get back to you via email :pray_tone2:

Hi, has this been solved?

I used to paste instagram links and the post used to render straight away. Now I only get the url pasted as plain text.

Could you help?

Thanks!

@Isabel Reyes - After you paste the link and it is plain text, click on the link icon:

You don’t need to do this extra step for most links, but at least there is a quick workaround.
