I am facing a strange behavior since a few weeks, and I am sure it worked some time ago.

In case the anonymous mode is enabled (which is perfect for retrospective we mostly do in MIRO) the creator of a sticky note cannot edit the same after he created a new one.

I was also able to reproduce this issues, whilst a running retrospective. Unfortunately when I am alone working on a board, it works fine.

Anybody else facing this issue?

Thank you for bringing this up! I can see how important it would be to have a smooth experience in anonymous mode, especially for retrospectives. Let’s try to get to the bottom of this.

 

Just a few questions to help clarify:

  • Are all users creating stickies from the same type of device and browser? This can sometimes affect behavior, especially in anonymous mode.
  • You mentioned that this issue doesn’t appear when you’re working solo; do you notice any difference based on the number of participants on the board, or does it seem random?
  • Finally, has this issue been consistent across multiple retrospectives, or did it only start happening recently?

 

Also, I checked the link and it led me to a help center article - Timer, if you’re able to reference what Laura reported, that may help us see if there are any common factors.
