Data linking from Excel to shapes

Related products:API

I would like to suggest a new feature.

This is currently available with Lucidchart, where you can upload data from a spreadsheet into the document, and drop each line of the s/sheet to a shape of your choice. On top of this, you have the option to update the data, so when you make any changes they automatically appear on the shapes in the board, once re-uploaded.

Was it helpful?

When building a systems architecture, many features change from client to client.

I would love to see this feature so that, upon creating an appropriate schema and dataset, it would dynamically draw the systems architecture, with appropriate lines connecting them (as defined by the dataset...this should not be inferred, in my opinion).

This would reduce diagramming time by allowing a pre-formatted list to be uploaded to a Miro board and effectively present a realistic representation of the system architecture captured in the dataset. Once uploaded, users would then be able to adjust colors, styling, line connector types (arrows, UML connector types, dashed lines, etc), and other desired styling.
