Hello!

Is it possible to put image links on a board without the homepage discription showing?  So it does not look like this?

Hi @Julia Simon,

I doesn’t look like you can edit these these images once they pop up as links. There might be a work-around though, and it lies in the Web Page Capture function. On the left side menu, click the elipsis to expand the apps menu. In there by default should be Web Page Capture. Click it, add the link to the page you want, and hit Ok. Once the web page comes up on your screen, you can crop it to meet your needs.

Here is an example of a link to a blog article on Miro, and then just the image using the Web Page Capture function.

Hope this helps!

Jon

Hi @Julia Simon

I expect i’m being very blind/ dense but how did you put the link in so its the picture & caption?

I can insert an un-expanded link AND i can insert the whole web-page  and just an image (using g-image search) but I can’t replicate what you’ve posted as your undesirable state!

:)

@Simon.Harris For me, when I have a website URL in my clipboard and go to a board and just paste via  Ctrl + V, I get what the page thumbnail + text.

Well, it must depend on the web page and some element and if it contains an image, e.g., here’s the pasting from:

  1. https://www.wikipedia.org/
  2. https://miro.com/blog/what-we-learned-from-stephen-curry/

@Simon.Harris, the team added the task to fix this issue to the backlog. We’ve checked that this behavior is, indeed, inconsistent. Stay tuned!
