Comment only status, how to get back to normal?

Hi there,

I have accidently locked myself out of my own board by clicking “comment only”. I wanted to make sure no one else can erase/change something in my board.

How do i get back to normal? I've send a request but this does not help.

Many thanks in advance!!

Was it helpful?

@Teije Sas -

This is definitely a Miro support issue. As far as I know, even company admins are not able to edit boards to which they don’t have access rights.

Sorry about that!

Kiron

The same situation for me. I am the owner and can not change the board “Comment Only” status.

If no editors left who can return access?

@Axel Pervol -

I’d suggest opening a support ticket with Miro (Submit a request – Miro Support & Help Center) for this as their admins should be able to modify the board access behind the scenes for you.

Hi @Teije Sas and @Axel Pervol,

I’m sorry to hear about that. Hopefully Miro support can get that sorted out for both of you soon.

In the future, you can lock objects on the board that you don’t want to be edited/erased/moved by others.

I did the same thing. Kiron- thanks for sharing the Miro Support & Help link. I have an interview this afternoon and am hoping to edit one of my projects before that… Here’s hoping they can help me out in time! ; )
