Constraint a mind map auto-layout inside a frame?

Hello everyone, do you know if it is possible to "constraint" a mind map auto-layout inside a frame?
I mean that I thought that putting a mind map inside a frame would force the mind map to stay inside the frame (but in fact not).
Thanks! Have a nice day!

Hi @valentinmarie,

Currently, Miro’s mind map auto-layout isn’t constrained by frames. The nodes will continue expanding outside the frame as the structure grows. However, here are a few workarounds you can try:

  1. If auto-layout is off, you can manually position nodes within the frame to keep them visually contained.

  2. Instead of a frame, you can use a table or grid-like structure to visually organize the mind map inside a defined area.

  3. Lock the frame to keep it in place, then zoom in/out to manage the mind map’s viewability within the frame’s boundaries.

  4. If structure control is crucial, you could manually recreate the mind map using stickies, shapes, or connectors, which will stay inside the frame.

In the meantime, you might want to suggest it as an improvement in the Miro Wish List to request this feature.

Hope this helps! 😊

Thank you very much for your advice! I’ll have a look at it :)
