Boards after downgrading

Hello. After downgrading to free plan my 2 of 3 boards have view only, I cannot edit on the boards. I would like to know why it happens. In free plan there are 3 boards available for editing. I have only 3 boards in general. 2 of them I cannot edit after downgrading. Why?

Thank you for responding.

What has likely happened is that this view-only board was set to private and is now locked. This issue here is Miro’s choice of wording (they should show the word “locked”, and therefore a also a link to the corresponding The board is locked help center article.

An excerpt from the article (and the steps that should restore your board to an editable state)

IMPORTANT: If you do not have at least one other member in your team, then the “team” access option will not be present – this is a known gap in Miro’s Free Plan sharing settings flow.

How to unlock a board:

Open the board’s share settings and check that the Team access is not set to No access. If it is, change it to something else.

This can happen when board that was created in a paid (or trial) subscription was private, i.e., Team access = No access, but then remains in this state when the paid subscription is downgraded back to free.

If there are no other members in your team, you’ll see:

To get around this quickly, you can invite any fake email address to your team, e.g., fakeemailshdfsdf@fakedomaintest.com

Once you’ve done this, when you go back to the board share settings you’ll see:

Then you’ll:
