Sticky Notes Hard to Distinguish from Background After Update

Dear Miro Support Team,

I am writing to report an issue that has arisen after the latest update. The sticky notes are now difficult to distinguish from the background due to a significantly reduced shadow effect. Additionally, when placing sticky notes of the same color on top of each other with a slight offset to the right and down, the lack of shadow on the top-left corner causes the notes to blend together. This makes it very inconvenient to use and visually confusing.

Could you please look into this issue and provide a solution or update to address it?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Was it helpful?

Hey @FlipBard !

We really appreciate you sharing this, and we’re sorry for the frustration. We know sticky notes are a huge part of how people brainstorm and map out ideas, so we totally get why this feels like a big change.

This update was made in response to user feedback, aiming to improve accessibility and provide a fresher, more modern look. We adjusted the shadows to reduce visual heaviness and create a cleaner, more consistent experience. That said, we hear your concerns about contrast and visibility.

We’re always listening and continuously working to improve the experience. Your feedback is super helpful, and we’ll keep refining things to make sure Miro works well for you.

🙏 Thanks for sticking with us, and let us know if there’s anything else on your mind!
