For accessibility reason it could be interesting to consider to ajust swimlane title depending on the zoom factor.
To illustrate, when I want to reorder my items in my story-map I unzoom to get a better overview. And every time my swimlane title become unreadable (too small). I need to memorize all my swimlane and it’s really not practical.
We have the same problem. The column and row headers are too small when the user story map becomes large. You should be able to view them when zoomed out to get an overview. As a workaround we use sticky notes, but these constantly become unaligned as the user story map changes.
Story maps work only for small things because of these issues. They literally don’t scale to larger Epics or Initiatives, and it’s especially those areas where story maps come in handy
