Resize some text, but not all, when adjusting font size

I want to resize some text in a shape, but not all of it. I don’t want to create groups of shapes if I can avoid them, since editing becomes more difficult and time consuming.

I have a shape with two lines in it, let’s say:

Mary

Wick

I want to emphasize Mary, like so:

Mary

Wick

When I select Mary and resize it, the box’s contents enlarge, like so:

Mary

Wick

I don’t recall this being a restriction in any but the very earliest of flow chart/presentation apps.

Was it helpful?

@Philip DeLuca -

Unfortunately, regardless of whether it is text associated with a shape or a separate text box, all text within a single object has the same size. The only workaround is to have multiple text boxes within a shape.

I took a quick look and couldn’t find a matching wish list idea so feel free to add one following the guidelines here and don’t forget to upvote it yourself: Wish List: Everything You Need to Know 🌠 | Miro
