Often when building a flow chart, I want the nodes in the chart to be similar with solid arrows from one to the other. While I’m building the chart, I like to add sticky notes and attach them to the node for which they apply. However, I like to use a curved dashed connector with no arrows so the sticky doesn’t look like it is part of the flow.

Or perhaps right clicking on any connector and having some connector templates to pick from.
