In our company we already have different teams from different areas. They each have their own Spaces and Boards.

What we are looking for is how to best manage Contributors: people we want to invite on only specific Spaces and Boards without having to add them to our team.

For example, in our internal team we have 5 Spaces:

  • three that are internal to the team
  • one that we want to invite key stakeholders from Marketing team
  • one were we want to invite people from the Development team

Currently, our only way to manage all our Spaces and Boards is to either:

  • add each person to our Team, which would jeopardize the visibility of our internal private boards
  • manually add each key contributor to the Space or Board

We are interested in having subgroups of people; we were can create a group of people from the same team, invite them with one click to our Spaces and edit their permissions (to view or to edit).

This would let us invite and share our boards easier depending on the team we want to collaborate with.

Was it helpful?

Here is a use case I need solved that is similar.

Currently we have several teams in a large organization based on our organization. In my main team of 80 users, we have several types of boards from brainstorming to process documentation.

As an example - We have migrated several of our documented diagrams from other systems. These charts we organized into a space (project) to help with organization. Now when we are onboarding and offboarding associates, we need to go into every space and manually update the users to be able to edit. We need to be able to add a “team” to a space to view or edit, this way I only need to update a group (subgroup) for security changes. Otherwise, the space feature only creates extra work for me.
