Miro integration with Pinterest

George Sofroniou

I’ve recently started using Miro for more than just work and it’s integrating into my daily life too! One of the great use cases I’ve seen with Miro is creating a mood board for your interior designs.

I’m currently creating mood boards for the rooms of my new house I am due to be moving to and what I’ve found myself doing is using Pinterest to dump all my ideas onto then I want to use Miro to create more definite theme/plan.

I think it would be useful if in Miro you could link your Pinterest boards and access your pins to then move across to Miro

Was it helpful?

I agree with this integration.

I see an option to automate this with Zappier, but they can see the secret boards. For me, this is one of the most useful tools because all our client boards are secret.

I think a MIRO Oficial Integration can be better than Zappier.

I’m not a Pinterest user… But I wonder if you can just use the webpage capture tool in Miro to display the pins?

Have you tried to just grab the URL of that specific page on Pinterest and put that into Miro?

@Kyle.C I would think of a potential integration similar to Jira maybe where you can read/write between jira project and micro board. It would just be smoother than doing a screen grab. Prevents any dual-keying/efforts

I tried copy + pasting a GIF but it came out static with the post :/ (can’t edit/delete either)

Maybe that should be another feature? GIF’s in Miro Community Chats 👀
Much more fun & interactive! (Also editing/deleting comments 😬)

BTW, I was reacting to the news from the @Miro Community Team. Looking forward to this idea! 🙌

Do people still use Pintrest? 😆

YES. This would be fantastic. I’m also a designer and use Miro to collect research, diagram, and sketch ideas. Pinterest is a great tool to collect masses of imagery but going back and organizing those inpo images or trying to find a certain one can be time consuming. If I could access all images I’ve saved in Pinterest and easily import them in mass into Miro so I can group, sketch on and present them, that would be a game changer.

Along the same line of thought; I would love to be able to tag those images so that I can easily search for certain design elements and keep a rolling catalog of design inspiration. This way I can filter by material or space type or whatever tags I decide are helpful.

For example, I’m newly branching into the world of hospitality design and have been collecting precedent imagery, floor plans and details specific to hotel architecture. If I could tag certain images as ‘lounge’ or ‘fireplaces’ or ‘task lighting’ etc. I would be able to build a streamlined database of my own imagery collection and could use it for any future project.

YES! LOVE THIS! I’m a production designer and use Pinterest to collect sourcing ideas, and use Miro to organize them. Would love either a Miro extension integration similar to the Pinterest chrome extension, where I can “pin” a photo w/ the link attached that will automatically populate a miro board, or a Pinterest/Miro integration where I can autopopulate photos w/ links from a pinterest board.

PLEASE YESSS!!! Being able to implement the Pinterest Board and then move the individual pictures around to implement them in the mind map! Game changer!

At the moment I screenshot things on Pinterest and have to upload it one by one to miro and organise… Miro, you can do better!
Thanks

Hi Eca and the Miro team,

I appreciate your ongoing attention to community requests. I wanted to provide an update that might have been overlooked: the Pinterest integration for Miro is now live and available in the Miro marketplace!

As an independent developer, I've created this integration to meet the community's needs. You can find it here: Pinterest for Miro + Miro | Team Collaboration Apps Marketplace

I'm excited to contribute to the Miro ecosystem and would love to collaborate with the Miro team to ensure users get the most out of this integration. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if there's any way we can work together to promote this solution to interested users.

Thank you for your support of the Miro community! 💛
