Hi Miro Heroes :sparkles:

Have you always wanted to learn how to create fun boards and templates but never found the time? 👩‍💻

Well, now is your chance! We’re giving everyone an opportunity to learn the logic behind template creation, create your own on the spot, and even get a chance to win.

We have partnered up with the Never Done Before facilitation community, and the Miro masters @Vitalij Malahov , @Tricia Conyers, and @NinaSwitch11 will each give a 90-minute template-creation workshop where you will learn about the 5 Cs of template creation:

Sign up for a workshop!

Nina’s Workshop: November 23

Tricia’s Workshop: November 28

Vitalij’s Workshop: December 1

Joining one of the workshops us not a requirement: If you feel confident with your template creation skills- no need to attend one or more of the workshops- but it’ll be lots of fun and VERY helpful 😊

You can then submit your brand new icebreaker template for a chance to win a prize 🙌

At the end of the challenge, we will reveal the winners at a talent-show-like event on December 14th hosted by the founder of the NDB community, @Myriam Hadnes and me 😁. We will reveal yet another fabulous prize category then!

Hi,

please find our icebreaker here.

What:

  • This Icebreaker game is designed to bring team members closer to each other. Participants need to work together in order to find the answers for some personal questions.

  • Who will win? All of the participants by having more information about each other. Get to know each other increases trust between team members, establishes psychological safety and contributes to a high-performing team.

Who:

  • This template is most beneficial to small groups with 3-10 team members.

When:

  • It can be used as icebreaker before scrum sessions, brainstormings, any type of meetings.

How:

  • Facilitator should think about a theme for the exercise (Christmas, etc.). Identify questions related to the selected theme, like "What was worst Christmas present you have ever got?"

  • As a preparation for the exercise ask all participants to answer one of the questions and collect their answers.

  • Update the template with the questions and integrate the answers to the word search part.

  • Use the exercise as 5 minutes icebreaker for your meeting.

  • Introduce the exercise, review all the questions and ask participants to find the answers in the word search. Answers should be highlighted by the rectangles provided.

  • Team members are to be discussed the answers shortly.

Thank you everyone for your submissions! We are now closing the contest! 🙌

🏆 Judges’ Choice

Together with NDB judges, Miro panel will review all of your submissions to chose the WINNER! I can already tell that this is going to be a very difficult job. This time we will keep the voting and evaluation offline and won’t be running a separate event to announce the winners, we will announce the winner in this thread on December 14!

❤️ People’s Choice

Second winner will be decided by the number of VOTES (Likes) under the submission post in this thread. So go ahead and spread the word: the participant with the most amount of likes generated by December 14 will get the People’s Choice prize!

Good luck!
