Hi everyone! :hand_splayed:

I’m Michael and I work for the energy provider, E.ON Next. I have previously worked in graphic design for somewhere between 4-5 years before having a career change but I find myself enjoying creating things at my leisure in my somewhat new role because a) there’s not direct pressure for me to do any of this so it’s ‘my’ baby and ‘my’ decision to do so… and b) I simply have more respect both for this company but more specifically my team leader and my operations manager who treat me as a valued member of the team/company and not just that guy who design things to save us money  #equitytheory

I’m here to see what the capabilities of MIRO are and if I ‘can’ create what I ‘think’ I’m going to be able to, which could positively impact quite a lot of people (ideally).

Bonjour from France,

My name is Stéphane and I am based in Nice Côte d’Azur, France. I am a Salesforce Consultant and Developer. We are using Miro for all projects related documentation and I am here to improve our usage of this tool.

One fun usage is that we launch Miro from a Samsung Flip Board so that we can benefit from the pencil and the touch screen. It would deserve some improvement to be better integrated yet it does the work so far.

Have a great day ☀️

Hi everyone,

My name is José M Aguirre and I’ve being living in Quebec City since 2012.

I co-create a consulting and training firm called UMANIX with my wife and my brother. I’m actually an Agile Coach and Trainer on Lean Change Management, Disciplined Agile and SAFe.

In parallel I own a company where we deliver workshops on STEM (Science Technologie Engineering and Mathematics) for kids using motorized and programable Legos.

It’s been a while since I use Miro for very different purposes (Mind Maps, Story Mapping, Customer Journey Maps, Retrospectives, etc etc) With COVID19 I’ve being forced to convert all of my workshops to remote delivery which made me work even more with the App.

I love to take out my creative side and Miro helps me a lot to do that.

I feel really lucky to have an amazing family (see my picture). I’m proudly dad of a 2 legged son and a hairy 4 legged girl :girl_tone1::dog::baby_tone1::man_tone1:

Nice to meet you all and hope I can bring good insights that help.

Hej everyone,

Very happy to join the Miro community

My name is Jost and I live in Cologne, Germany. In the role of Manager Business Development - Digitalization at Vaillant Germany, a leading HVAC manufacturer, our team aims to help our organization to operate successfully in a digital environment.

We did start to use Miro in 2020 when our daily routines shifted from onsite sessions to running all-day virtual workshops. Use cases depend on the roles we own, the hats we wear in the various cross-functional teams we work with. From designing workshop facilitation templates, creating OKR sets, building templates for the different phases of design sprints, bringing no-coders together to prepare visual sketches and briefing of digital workflows or products we ask agencies to build, to simply collecting thoughts/ ideas/ questions.

I can say for sure that Miro totally changed the way we collaborate and create value and that because of Miro the outcomes of our remote collaboration were such a success. That it helps to keep even the kind of non-digital co-workers engaged and makes it easy for them to contribute with their expertise. That it simplified our collaboration with design agencies and external developement partners. That it’s never been easier to make people grasp a project’s journey and results within seconds (or minutes). Thanks for that Mironeers :grinning:

Looking forward to contribute and learn from you!

Hey there!
My name is Filippo, Core Solution Engineer @ VMware inc. I’m writing you from Italy, enjoying my 100% remote working experience.

For successfully achieving such working flexibility and agility, Miro makes a lot of difference in reaching teams and presenting ideas/projects. I’m so happy my company subscribed a large agreement with Miro. :grinning:

I’m brand new to this tool and I’m learning a lot, but I’m sure this is right  the place where I can get hints and instructions on how to make my boards super cool.

Thank you very much everybody and see you around :wave_tone1:

Hi everyone,

My name is Philippe, I’m based in Toulouse, France.

I’m talent manager of Scrum Master’s & RTE’s at Air France-KLM (AFKL), and I’m very glad that AFKL has selected Miro as THE collaborative tool for workshop facilitation, and much more…

Formerly, I used to being an agile coach and managing & developing the agile coaching center at AFKL, supporting product teams in adopting collaborative practices and embracing agile mindset further.

I’m using Miro to facilitate workshops, and I’m a high consumer of mind maps day-in day-out for any kind of topics…

Scrum Masters and RTE’s at AFKL are also ambitioning to sync JIRA data with Miro to faciliate PI Events and dependency boards… That’s probably where we still have the most to discover with the help of you all from this community.

Very glad to join the community, and thanks in advance for your further help and support!

Philippe

Hey, All.

I am Vinish Garg, from Chandigarh. I work as an independent product consultant with international product teams for 10+ years, on the intersection of product UX, content design, and product strategy.

Being on product Hunt since 2013, I have reviewed hundreds of products and spoken to hundreds of founders. Miro is amazing as an affordable and shared digital brain for connecting the dots and finding directions in our narrative.

While getting started, here is one of my first boards that I created a few days ago: https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_kq7awh4=/

I write on Medium https://medium.com/@vingar, and I enjoy time with my 8yo son.

Best,

Hey y’all! I’m Don from Houston, Texas (more accurately Katy, TX). I’ve been around the block so to speak. I’ve spent about the past 10 years in the UX realm. While my preference is doing things in person, the pandemic has changed so much. And, I’ve worked on a global team for a couple or so years now so tools like Miro are essential for collaborating. I’m involved with a lot of service blueprinting, journey mapping, and more. I’ve dabbled with Miro at my current job for the past 6 months and figure it’s time to take a step forward and really advance myself with the app. Hope for some future collaboration or at the very least, fellowship! Peace.

Hi,

My name is Ellen. I live in Manhattan. No pets, although I love dogs. I am the founder and co-owner of Phi Services, collaboraton technology solutions.

We are uniquely focused on accelerating our clients’ collaborative processes - creativity, agility, bringing innovative ideas to life quickly, tracking processes, project management, visualization, and most of all connecting teams internally and/or remotely for real-time data sharing – through technology - from planning to adoption.

Consulting to develop and expand use case is at the heart of what we do, so adoption is realized - not just lip service. A new step in this direction is a just launched fully digital, learning experience catalog, delivered by experienced real world practicioners. Courses range from agile frameworks, kanban, dev ops, leadership skills to organizational resilience, using Miro which we have just identified as our go to collaboration platform. We look forward to working closely with this organization and learning from all of you.

Hi everyone

My name is Kian and I’ve been using Miro now for three years - its just so helpful for remote working and for bringing ideas to life…  we use it a lot for gathering client information, sketching out the as-is and to-be workflows and then on into design - a key insight for us is that when you can help clients to ‘see’ what you’re building, it can help to bring it to life in their mind.

I like to use Miro to make Op Art pics (at the weekends)

This is super cool!

Hi, I’m Michelle!

I’m the Director of Production & Operations at Use All Five, which is a digital design & development studio in Los Angeles. We create websites, apps, and products for brands like Google, Spotify, UCLA, & the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs.

We found Miro at the beginning of “stay at home orders” and have been finding new ways to integrate it into our workflows every day!

We started using Miro for simple wireframes, and have expanded into using it for our quarterly/high-level resource planning and creative briefs to kick off new projects.

As a former Product Manager myself, I’m excited to be a part of this community to learn from and contribute to this amazing product!

Hello, my name is Bairon Cardona, for more than 20 years I have been working at the Montessori School in the city of Medellin (Colombia), I worked as head of the area of the mathematics department and I am also a physics teacher in the upper grades.
I have met Miro basically forced by the pandemic and searching the internet for a good alternative for virtual work with my teachers and my students. Miro has seemed great to me, now we are managing its acquisition for the mathematics team, as it would be very supportive for our interactions and solution of projects and ideas, in addition to allowing us to work with students.
Thank you very much.

Thank you for your curiosity, @Anna Savina - I love geeking out on (remote) workshop facilitation and am always happy to find a like-minded!

If I had to only mention my top 3 “process items” it would be

  • I start every session with a ‘turn to your neighbour moment’ for participants to meet another and not to feel alone in the space
  • Using music to impact the energy - especially for solo brainstorming
  • No ‘talk over slides’ and nobody speaking for longer than 10 minutes.

 What are your top 3?

Hello community

I have been using the product for some time, running workshops as well as brainstorming and stuff, even if it’s just for me.  Until 2020, I was a coach, consultant, speaker and instructor, focused on facilitating quality development in engineering and service organisations.  When Covid19 locked me at home for a couple of years, Miro was a help, but I still miss the conferences and the travel.  I have worked on every continent except South America (and Antarctica) and am focused on understanding, clarifying and facilitating the links between culture and quality - it is difficult enough understanding the true culture of a team or organisation when you are in the same room, when doing it remotely it is getting to be a nightmare.

Picture is of me addressing a roomfull of engineers - I have no idea what I was talking about that day :-)

Hi everyone

I’m Paul Cunningham.  I work in Cardiff in the UK for Audit Wales.  We are the external auditor for most of the public sector in Wales so we work on behalf of the citizens of Wales to make sure the Government spends their money fairly and efficiently.  Our motto is ‘ Assure, Explain, Inspire’

We’ve just started using Miro as part of our Data Analytics function, which as you can imagine, is a growing area of work for us.  I’ve used Miro boards so far to do research, design systems and share ideas.  Here’s an example.

User Stories

One of the valuable features is the ability to share a board with colleagues and work on it together in real time.  This has been particularly useful during this year’s pandemic!

Hi everyone! I'm Laurie. I'm in Austin, TX, USA. My position is operations/senior project manager for a boutique SEO company. We have a lot of fun and using Miro has added to that.

Hi all! It is really exciting to be part of this community. My name is Thomas and I am living in Bonn, the former capital of Western Germany. I used to travel worldwide as a freelanced consultant and trainer, delivering trainings, and facilitating workshops. And then there was Corona … Now I am delivering many virtual trainings and workshops and tried different solutions for online collaboration and finally ended up using Miro a lot. I am looking forward to sharing experiences and ideas.

Hi team, I’m Von an Experience Director at Enablo. We are specialists in digital employee experience and SaaS, partnering with market leaders in collaboration, communication, and coordination tools. Miro has been an absolute game-changer for me in my roles over the past ~5 years. As someone who leads large-scale virtual workshops with colleagues and customers on an almost daily basis, I love how easy Miro makes virtual collaboration and brainstorming across distributed workforce, no matter where you join from!

I’m so excited to be here in the Miro Community!

Hi Miro Heros

Just to introduce myself briefly... I'm a brand strategist and designer based in Ireland, and since covid have moved all my workshops online. Miro has been fantastic and I love working in the space. Pre covid I was doing workshops in the studio, but Miro is giving me flexibility and freedom, and also its a great place to keep all the info safe, no more flicking around between Flipchart pages and losing sticky notes while you try to compile everything into a strategy on your Mac 😀

Hey there!

I am Jessie, Customer Experience Designer in the Financial Services Industry from the Sunshine Coast in  Australia. I discovered Miro while looking for a way to collaborate with my team across 3 sites and fell in love as it just made everything work well.

Very keen to explore the other uses of Miro as currently building a business case.

Hello Miro Heroes!

This is Bora from Istanbul.🖖

I am a UX person working for SHERPA, one of (the best, if you ask me) Turkey’s leading UX studios. I have worked as a UX producer for 4.5 years and now I am the brand & community manager.

As Sherpas we are analytical thinkers (cool way to say geeks) and love to create flow diagrams, create huge information architecture and content maps for digital products before the UI design stage. And that’s why we love Miro! Almost forgot, we run quite a few online workshops especially since the pandemic started and Miro is a great place to do that.

I read some of the earlier posts here and realized that sharing a photo is a great way to introduce yourself so this is what I am going to do. Here’s me, attending an offline workshop for a change :)

It feels great to have joined this community where I can meet and interact with people from all over the world with interesting stories and valuable expertise to share.🤙

p.s. As a side gig, I create vegan recipes and share them on my Youtube channel. Audio is in Turkish but I started adding English subs to be more accessible. A big hello to all vegans here! 🤗

Hi Miro Heroes! :wave_tone2:

My name is Damian, I’m a product designer and I’m currently organizing an invite-only Design Conference for experienced designers in Berlin, Germany (but also streaming to the world!)

I’ve been organizing meetups for Product Design in Berlin for a while, and now going all in with a larger end of the summer event.

If you’re interested in the event and want some info, be sure to DM me.

Cheers!
