Hej, I am Marie. I am content manager at the Danish version of slotozilla anmeldelser project. I’ve read about Miro. It looks like a great platform. My team and me have been using trello and zoom, but we are going to shift to miro. It is actual now in conditions of quarantine and distant working.

Hello,

My name is David and I am a software engineer in the US. I was looking for tools to help with some personal projects I am working on and discovered Miro as a tool for organizing brainstorming notes and design documentation. So far I have been very happy with it and am using it to help with development of a video game I am making as well as a web application for the knitting community as I am also an avid knitter. Yes I am a guy and I am a knitter, guys knit too

My fiance and I have also recently started a podcast around knitting and it’s use as a form of meditation to deal with medical conditions and help with mental health and stability. We are also attempting to use Miro as a way of organizing our segments and what we wish to discuss on each episode.

If anybody has any suggestions on tools or methods that might help in any of these endeavors, it would be appreciated as I’m new to Miro.

Thank you and best wishes to everybody!

Hi Everyone

I work in health care as a vocational therapist. Me and some colleagues have been using MIRO to support our clients rehab since the UK had its lockdown. Its been a really exciting journey that we have been on with lots of positive feedback from clients. We have since been using MIRO for a range of things from the usual team based activities, careers guidance, occupational therapy and even putting on a remote inclusion fayre.

I would love to know if anyone else has been using MIRO to deliver any therapy or social care based activity.

Cheers

Martin

Hello Miro community!

I live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and lead a small team of UX designers focused on creating digital educational solutions for higher-ed institutions.

As we have a distributed team, we started using Miro last year for our product design workshops (brainstorming, prototyping, etc.). Our team loved it and now the tool became an important part of our collaboration and design process.

Hopefully I'll gain extra insights while exchanging experiences and learning with and from you.

Cheers!

Patricia

Hi Lovely People,

My name is Cheong and I’m an Iteration Manager at Kmart Australia based in Melbourne. I am still very much a newbie in learning Miro. Ha, ha. I am the one that will accidentally mangle someone’s masterpiece by accidentally dragging an object somewhere else.

My goal is to master Miro and let my creative juices flow so that my team can benefit from using it while have fun. I’ve started using it for retrospectives and brainstorming.

Thank you lovely people for your generosity to share your templates and your ideas.

I hope to be able to contribute back soon.

Cheong

Hi everyone,

my name is Brigitte Berscheid. I’m co-founder and managing director of flecsable.de

After testing other digital whiteboards, I am glad to have found Miro. For me, Miro is the ideal tool to plan and document customer projects from order clarification to execution and completion. We use Miro in all internal and external meetings and, of course, to conduct training and workshops.

Hi All!

:sunglasses:

Hi, everyone!

My name is Elliot, and I’m going to be the leader for the soon-to-be-launched NYC Chapter of Miro!

I couldn’t be more excited to learn from you all.

A little bit about me (in bitesized, bulletpoint format!):

  • I work in marketing innovation for Unilever, specifically within the organization’s beauty and personal care portfolio. I have been in this role for close to 2 years now (my work birthday is at the end of October)
  • My background is in acquisition and growth marketing for all kinds of businesses, from SaaS to marketplace to edu-tech. B2B, B2C, DTC, whatever!
  • My current work passions are around innovation, both externally (products and services) but also internally (process and methadology). For the past year I have been laser focused on building experimental cultures and removing inefficiencies from innovation processes.
  • I love to geek out on running workshops, design thinking sessions, anything that involves getting a group in a room with a whiteboard to solve exciting problems
  • When I’m not working, I love to cook and hangout with my Pandemic Puppy, Tahini (I’m sure if we end up talking, I’ll send you 12414523525 pictures)

Once again, I’m so pumped to get crackin’ and bring value to this budding community.

Hi all!

I’m Karen, a Public Finance Investment Banker with product sense and experience in marketing, event planning, outreach, and cross-functional collaboration. I’m a night owl, and the best part of my day is to play with passions and problems. :nerd:

Right now, I’m working on a few passion projects to address pain points among women gamers. In the Discovery phase, Miro has the perfect playground where I can map out my ideas (especially with post-its) and share them during product whiteboarding sessions. It’s such a versatile platform that encourages growth and all kinds of creativity for CVs, icebreakers, workflows, and even games- BTW, the Gamification V-MUG session was hands down the BEST presentation I’ve ever seen!!! :video_game::joystick:

Really excited to join the community and learn more about the “Mirocles” we can make with Miro’s magic! :sparkles:

Here’s a pic of my fluffer, Harold the Pirate Zombie (she’s a girl!)

Hi Miro Friends,

🤚 About Me

I recently made this YouTube video on how I use Miro to plan my entire life, going from core values to tactical to-dos. I love Miro’s bulk post-it note import/export functions, and smooth drag-and-drops.

Oh, hello there !

No, it’s not the General Kenobi, sorry, just Livia, French agile coach working near Paris.

I love to help teams and individuals strive and find the best way they can progress towards a more agile, more fun, more efficient, more benevolant and pleasant working environment. I love to sketch and illustrate things, hence I fell into visual facilitation also !

On the personal side, I am a huge nerd and love to play videogames (actually worked for Ubisoft for 7 years), role playing tabletop games, reading and watching fantasy & sci-fi as well. I also am a cat nerd and am a very good human to my feline queen Haelly (pic below !). I also love music and used to play violin, flute, piano and a little bit of guitar&ukulele. Oh, and I’m also addicted to cheese 😅 As the multiple lockdowns and remote working prevented me to burn all those cheese-calories, I recently decided to start jogging in spite of my asthma and I really love it !

Happy to be part of the community !

Hello Miro Community,

My name is Bill Bailey and I approve this message: No, I’ve never been involved in politics , however, I’ve been a strong advocate of the agile methodology for projects requiring a high level of uncertainty and requiring a lot of integration or creativity.

My interest in Miro is in using Jira Cards and using it for a collaboration tool for Scaled Agile ceremonies and PI Planning. A collaborator by nature and ASPE Agile Instructor, I’m all hands on and highly technical.

I invite anyone from the Miro community to collaborate actually get some the Miro functionality to actually work. So far, after a somewhat circuitous install process, I have Jira Cards integrated and somewhat functioning with a Cloud Jira instance.

I have been unable to find a step-by-step video or documentation for how to use the Miro PI Planning template in conjunction with Jira, so having to figure it out step-by-step with my team.

Thanks and looking forward to our collaboration!

Hello everyone!

Jane here and I’ve been using Miro off and on for a couple of years now, and am just implementing it as a business tool as I hopefully will soon kick-off my business this summer. Look forward to helping out and being helped in the community. I am a beginner to intermediate Miro user.  I learned about Miro from a university instructor two years ago.  Soooo very glad he used it!  I like apps that really are usable in real-time and WORK!  I like flexibility in my work tools and color, so Miro’s up my alley.

On a more person note, like a few people here I like cats (and dogs, but do to a small living space at the moment, can’t have any dogs), like sci-fi and am trying to lose weight (argh!). @Andrew Sauter I’m going to attempt to transfer a board from one app to Miro, so if I figure it out and try the same from Excel (and succeed) I’ll let you know. ;-) @Nelphalyn Hi!  Lovely queen you have there!  I’m in France as well, but further north of Paris.  And like you, health issues or not, trying to run, walk, etc. to lose a lot of weight not from cheese (LOL), but still hard to do. ;)

Hello, fellow Miro users, I am Gábor, and I am a lead developer at Servus Intralogistics.

My team and I are using miro for retrospectives, brainstorming, designing stuff and just working together even when half the team is remote.

I’m glad to be here!

Hello all! I’m Andrew, an independent creative based in Toronto, Canada. I help small and medium sized businesses carry their brands online. I learned about Miro in 2019 and started with the free account. I moved to the Consultant plan in April when my business went 100% virtual. The templates are fantastic, allowing me to focus on the flow of my meetings/workshops, instead of scrambling to capture all the goodness. Also - as I’ve brought on more clients - I’ve had a few hiccups with Miro, and this community has saved my (Canadian) bacon. THANK YOU! You folks rock & I look forward to connecting and contributing too!
