Hi, All!

My name is Bill and I am a University Professor in Philadelphia, PA USA.

I have been using Prezi Classic since their early release days and use it for ALL of my courses.

The greatest feature for me is the Infinite Canvas and the ability to explain technical concepts using mind maps.

With Flash support going away in Chrome at the end of this year I am on the hunt for a Prezi Classic upgrade (Prezi Next is not it).

Super impressed with Miro and looking forward to learning about all of the new features!

Hi everyone!  My Name is Todd Groomes.  I live in Abu Dhabi UAE (Just south of Dubai)!

I am trying to organize my Team and Miro looks to be a fantastic way to to that!  I look forward to meeting all of you and learning as much as I can about the best way to use Miro (I have plenty of questions already).  I will post a few questions after my intro.  Thank you in advance if they seem basic…I am a pilot by trade, so you have to use small words and lots of pictures...lol

Hi there,

My name Masood Sarkar and I am currently associated with a university in Canada working as Manager Enterprise Solutions. We have just started using Miro and so far it is wonderful experience. Looking forward to have more communication with the Miro community.

Hi

I’m Amanda Benbelaid and I discovered Miro about 3 jobs ago and have never looked back! I head up Sales Enablement for a Tech start up and have worked in Tech for a few years now. As well as enabling my Sales teams, I collaborate very closely with other Go to Market teams and Miro is great to help us to liaise and manage projects.

My favourite thing to do is to run Learning workshops and encourage peer to peer sharing. It’s great when you have global offices and can’t always get into a room together. (It’s great when you can too!) I’m always looking for innovative ways to use Miro and love how it iterates with great new functionality! It’s an integral part of my onboarding programmes and pretty much most enablement whether to plan and/or deliver!

Always interested to connect with others who use the platform to facilitate or plan learning interventions. And also product managers or product marketers who collaborate through Miro and anyone from Sales. (Or anyone who just generally loves to get creative in there!)

Hi!

I’m Claudio a huge fan of Miro.

One of my daily tasks is teaching marketing / advertising / and digital strategy in college. Last year, during COVID times, I found Miro  to be a key strategic tool to interact with my students.

I learn quite a lot from my interaction with them and I shared some of my experience as a guest post  in Miro blog.

Glad to exchange best practices and share what I learn. Feel free to reach out directly too.

Claudio :-)

Hi everyone!

I am Natalie, based in Copenhagen Denmark.  I am leading the code of conduct implementation in Danske Bank. I am currently working on a prototype that allows collaborative problem formulation and co-designing of solutions which involves bankwide/localized systems, governance structure and grass root programmes.  I am very new to Miro and will greatly appreciate help/support/guidance.  I would also love to virtually connect with people who, like me, are passionate about making an impact in improving workplace environment where each employee in every level of the organization thrives.  Have a great day! :)

Hello everyone! Officially introducing myself to the community! (not my first time) I am also @Victor Paredes. My name is Victor. I am a designer, visual facilitator and domain investor bootstrapping digital product concepts.

As much as I have always been passionate about Miro, I was never active in the community. I used to be shy even publishing anonymously, but now I have much to share and I have been working on some cool stuff I will be sharing spontaneously. I read how to earn points & badges and I am feeling competitive 😝

In fact I knew Miro since RealtimeBoard. I learned Design Thinking in University studying entrepreneurship and have been addicted to Miro ever since. I am insanely and even unhealthily mapping EVERYTHING I can think of in Miro. It’s all connected, everything is connected, but, I’ll leave the talk for another day.

(also I just got accepted in the Miro Consultant Community 🥳)

Blessings all!

Hi everyone

My name is Roland, I am a Swiss guy living in norther Germany. Since more than 30 years I’m self-employed as a consultant, manly working in the DACH region. I’m a facilitator, coach and organizational developer. I started my career as a biochemist in pharmaceutical industry and have worked in IT and HR too.

Being retired since a few years, I’m still working with some clients in Germany and Switzerland. For all my work I can make use of Miro so much, and still learning a lot. Hope to get a lot of hints from this community and connect with some of you. Have a nice time 👍

Cheers, Roland

Hey folks,

I am Kevan Kjar, i have a small consulting company that I’ve been running for 13 years. My revenue used to come from whenever I was onsite facilitating a client work session or running a training workshop.  With COVID-19 I can’t be there in person, so remote is my new normal. One skill I’ve used as a differentiator in the past is creating a highly interactive work session, & building consensus among cross-functions, but using these cool new Miro tools virtually is exciting, and can be overwhelming. I’m a bit of an old-dog learning new tricks.

Thank you in advance for any tips or advice you all might wish to share.

Kevan

Hi I am Karin

and I work as an IT supporter in implementation of management systems like ISO 27001,BSI IT Security, GDPR.  Total quality management systems cause a lot of role conflicts for employees. Institutional visual knowledmanagement with Miro could reduce the conflicts. Furthermore it supports people in online courses to get focused and keep information in their memories.

Dear all, my name is Oskar, I live in Vienna, Austria with 3 beautiful daughters and my beloved wife.

After 20 yrs in leading positions in the event, culture and tourism industry my passion for people and IT led me to Microsoft Services. Leaving 10 yrs managing local and area wide teams of Digital Advisors behind, I joined our Global team for Emerging Markets to cover CEE, Middle East and Africa.
My focus area is to ensure the desirability of future innovations, clear the business viability of a service and team with our specialists to make real, what is feasible from a technical perspective.
My contribution to these tasks is built by challenging the assumptions and hypotheses of our clients respectfully and inspiring them to change perspectives. Therefore I am owning the process of moving on and will establish an atmosphere of mutual trust between all parties involved.
I am keen on deepening my knowledge on systemic consulting and its applicability for digital transformation journeys.

Miro gave me a great tool at hand to perform my job with all the current restrictions to be with my clients in a room physically. While no tool can replace the human touch, Miro still made it easy and comfortable to work together on a joint outcome even of creative and ideating sessions.

Hi folks, I’m Iain.  I’m based between Chamonix in the French Alps and pretty much anywhere else really!  I’m a professional coach for leadership teams & individuals and as a consequence also facilitate large engagement type events.  Miro is looking like a really cool tool for the latter.  I look forward to learning off all of you here and hope I can contribute as time and learning goes on...cheers, Iain

Hello everyone.  I’m Tim Hale, enterprise architect at Arvest Bank, located in Northwest Arkansas, US.  We started a pilot with Miro just after covid sent everyone to work from home.  It has been invaluable, and enabled us to maintain team productivity even while we couldn’t be physically co-located.  We use Miro for all sorts of things - from product design workshops with customers - to agile ceremonies - to team meetings - to process designs - to individual brainstorming.  Miro is a fantastic tool.

Hi Miro community,

I am Karin, an IT supporter and learning experience designer based in Hamburg / Germany.

I use Miro to reduce complexity in certified management  systems (F.e. QM, AZAV, GDPR, IT Security). Every employee should have a real chance to get a total overview about management rules in his company without scanning thousands of sentences in the company’s wiki and get deeply frustrated by trial and error.

Hi all, I have been using Miro for a while now. Well before the Covid-pandemic hit us all, but the only collaboration increased the use significantly. During the pandemic I switch companies after being at a Capgemini firm for over 20 years. Strange but I very much enjoy being part of a new family at CGI.

Sure hope to read up on your questions, answers and tips&tricks.

Best regards, Dennis

Hello All,

My name is Kevin Cuyler and I support our collaborative Discipline Networks and Communities of Practice at PetroSkills remotely in San Antonio, Texas.

We have extensive collaborative meetings and group work and we are very new to using Miro.  So far, I am very please -- great tool and opportunities.  Need to learn more about it and how to work with it with other remote groups.

Hi all, I’m a lecturer with Manukau Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand. I teach data analytics, and I love seeing our students come in, learn and go out and earn.

Also, I try to live my life in a way that honours my commitment to Yeshua of Natsareth as my Saviour and King.

I’m looking at ways I can use Miro for either of these, but mostly for my DA teaching. I’m keen to find out how to integrate it with Teams (phoning our Tech Services tomorrow) and how to separate students and staff.

I see the post-it notes as the first board I’ll use, for class discussions. After that, I’m thinking of taking either individual classes, or possibly the whole course, as a maze journey, like is on one of the Miro training videos.

Any other teachers out there I’d love to hear a ‘hi’ from you, maybe we need an education Special Interest Group here on Miro? Is there one yet?

Hey all!

My name is Albert, and I’m working as a technical writer. I’m impressed with Miro’s capabilities and think it is a new generation of graph tools.

Happy design!

Hey Team 👋

I focus on delivering high value pronunciations of the word “Miro” every morning (jokes, still have no idea). But other than that, I head up the Performance marketing devision for Hype Digital 🚀 A global PPC & CRO agency focused on helping clients make more money, and helping to educate and inspire like-minded passionate marketers/optimisers like ourselves - Grow Together 🙌

We’re using Miro to build out our marketing funnels and CRM workflows. We’ve tried many other “whiteboard” like platforms (mindmap etc), but this has definitely stuck with the team. Hope to be sharing more and more insights from a paid advertising (ecommerce, lead generation, app installs) side of things and hopefully gaining some insight myself. Going to be adding some workflows to our blog over the next couple of weeks.

Stay Safe (indoors),

Cam from Hype 🤝

Hi, My name is Bas. After a 20 years career in research I recently started working as a product manager working for Cochlear Ltd, where I got introduced to Miro. It’s a great tool and I love using it.

Best Wishes, Bas
