Came across a potential new use case with sticky notes. If you as a user are drawing on a sticky note it would be idea if that drawing would move with the sticky note. The only way around this is by grouping the drawing with the sticky note. This came up in a systems thinking design exercise I ran this morning. Any thoughts without having folks group their drawings on each and every sticky note?
HiWe have been using Miro for quite some time however one of our large clients that we use Miro in the virtual classroom in zoom for has said they do not want us to use Miro anymore due to the fact their staff can put their names in or its asks them to sign up. Is there a way of turning off the feature in public links to sign up or put their name. We know we can allow anyone with the link can edit and then amend the sharing settings to say do not add name. but it still comes up with sign up for free etc. our client due to security does not want the staff accessing any of that.Is there any other way around it. thanks
Hi,We would like to be able to mention different groups other than the board group members when adding comments.
We regularly need to have our admins reactivate deactivated users as our clients to not regularly access their boards. This creates unnecessary overhead, so we would like to have board owners just reinvite users to enable them again or change the time period for deactivation (180 days for example).
Would be great to have the option to paste from the Windows Snipping Tool directly to Miro rather than save an image and upload it to the board
As I noticed Miro changed his behavior during item selection on BoardThere is an example on screenshot I want to select only 2,3 items, butWhen I use Left Mouse Button it chooses 1,2,3Let’s make it more comfortable with this new behaviorWe initiate the selection process with the left mouse button. After selecting three items, as shown in the previous screenshot, simultaneously press the right mouse button and choose only items 1 and 2 (using both the left and right mouse buttons)
Now I can filter the selected objects and select one type (e.g. stickies). However, sometimes I want to select more than one type, or all types but one (e.g. select all objects but stickies).I did not find any way of doing this so I think it is not possible.Could you think about implementing this? I would be very useful.
With Apple Pencil + Apple Notes, it’s easy to make text look interesting even if you suck at drawing (like me): This is really hard to recreate in Miro. All lines end up having the same width. If Miro’s pen support were to factor in the pencil’s pressure, it’d look much better. And we could do the above, but in Miro.Thank you!
I’m used to trackpads that follow a natural scrolling direction (e.g., sliding fingers forward on the trackpad scrolls the page up). When I have to use a mouse, I set it up the same way, such that pushing the scrollwheel forward will move the page up (which is generally the opposite way that scrollwheels work). It would be nice if I could do the same with Miro, and invert the directions in which a mouse scrollwheel scrolls content vertically. For whatever reason, the horizontal scrolling (SHIFT + scrollwheel) is also opposite to what I would expect, so it would be nice to be able to invert that as well.
We do have the problem that many of our users in the company are not aware their projects are set to public an by that visible to >1000 people. It would help if in the project list a little icon (e.g. padlock) behind the project name visualizes that it is private / only visible to a defined group.
I would love the capacity to set an object as “infinite copy” then it is locked, but every time I click it and drag away, I take a copy of that item with me. Basically, how grabbing a stickynote from the sidebar works, but for any object on the board. This was a feature in Smart’s Smart Notebook and it was super useful for lots of things. Thanks for considering!
in the mind map - i want to add a linear step between 1 and 2 (not a sibling of 2) I’ve been using the mindmap to create a flow that has an autolayout (making it easier to edit/update content as information changes). I know how to add a child to an existing step, but i can’t add linear step in the middle of an existing map
Problem: I use Set start view a lot, and it’s frustrating that the view is always reset.Use Case: Sometimes I just want to nudge it along a little bit to get things centered or resize a little to get properly get content in view, but I have to do this through trial and error due to the complete reset of the editable frame.Solution: Would love for the previous start view to load so I can move it along or adjust the size according to how it’s showing up for the viewer. Thanks!
We provide access to users via SCIM from Okta. We manage all access from Okta and the users need to be added in Okta which would require the SCIM provisioning. With our other tools we can pass the license type. This allows us to automate the access by groups in Okta. With the limitation in Miro not allowing us to set this from Okta, currently we need to provision with SCIM providing a default license type (we have set to free) and then manually go in and flip any user we want to have a full license. Our expectation as we have with many tools is that we will have users in different categories with free or full licenses (different Okta groups). We would like to see this added as a feature for SCIM provisioning? Currently we have this ability with many vendors including Lucid, Tableau, AWS, DataDog, and more.
Now that Miro has delivered the great “Hide / Unhide frame” feature, it would be great if you can export to PDF only visible frames. When you export to PDF a board, hidden frames are included and a “Hidden for now” page is added to the PDF file for each hidden frame. Can you please not include hidden frames when exporting a board, please? Thank you!!
Bring Gemini ai to miro ! For object detection and all it does, also bring notebook features to analyze snippets of text
I don’t use the built-in voting feature for one reason. After voting, to see the results, participants need to go to Voting / Results/ Voting 1. That’s simply too much hassle. Why wouldn’t the vote numbers simply stay visible all the time? Each voting round would get a different colour, so it shouldn’t be a problem to differentiate the rounds. I simply want everyone to be able to see the results all the time.
