When I click on a connector and start typing it should automatically add text

When I click on a line connector and start typing it should automatically add text. At present it invokes keyboard shortcuts. After adding a line, the line is already selected, and I typically want to add a text description right then and there by starting to type.

When doing hands-on rapid modeling using a 'bubble and arc' diagram, it's easy to duplicate bubble shapes and edit their text by just starting to type. Duplicating shapes with Command+D is very convenient, as is connecting shapes. However, to add text to connection lines is uncharacteristically difficult, since it requires me to click on the +T toolbar button.

Please add 'just start typing' text support for connection lines, similar to shapes.
