    Ability to populate the description instead of the summary when converting to Jira issue.Open

    It would be great to have the ability to convert long-from stickies into Jira issues so that you don’t need to copy and paste the description before writing the summary. Our team often writes complete user stories with detail directly into a sticky note or text containers before converting to a Jira issue. It would be awesome if it determined which field (summary or description) to auto-populate based on a character count threshold for example or the detection of text formatting notation / markdown (related to: Ability to use text formatting notation / markdown in stickies (bold, create lists, etc.)  )

    Dashboard Projects StructureOpen

    How cool would it be if you could create a clearer and more orderly PROJECT STRUCTURE on the Miro dashboard?Now you can combine several boards into separate projects and regulate access rights in them. But you must admit, if you transform such a model into a set of full-fledged folders, with the ability...- create subfolders inside project folders- set filters by creation date/relevance, etc.- move the most recent and important folders to the top...this would turn the bulky dashboard into a real Miro Explorer 💪🏻

    Confusing change in 2023 causes students to send requests to join a group to edit public boardsOpen

    Here’s some of the description I originally sent to support:As a trainer, I always share a board with students using the "anyone with the link has edit access". But something changed in recent months where about 20% of students get confused and end up sending me a message about joining my team. How do I help them use the editing as a visitor and not get stuck in this requesting to join my team? This was never a confusion until a recent change in Miro.Here’s what support found:You are correct, there have been changes in the availability of features for visitors. We simplified some features for visitors without profiles, considering that most of them use only a few tools. By signing up for a Miro account, they can access the complete creation toolbar.  After replicating the issue, it appears that if visitors sign up directly from the board's sign-up options, they will be asked to join your team or create one after completely signing up.To resolve this, I recommend instructing the students to click on "Create your new free team" rather than requesting access to join the team. Once a free team is created, they will have edit access to the board by accessing it via a link.  My assessment: the changes in 2023 are confusing to students and cause unnecessary delays accessing the board.  It’s also somewhat difficult for them to get back in once they are pushed to request joining my group.   I think this is actually a bug but in any case, it is a backwards step for students who are being sent “edit” links to my class board.

    Is there a way to make this possible?I am using a Board Like a giant bullet journal calendar and i also use some Blocks of this Journal for Kollaboration with other people in a creative way. But since i dont want them to See my whole calendar i copied some parts of IT to another Board where WE all can Work ON IT. This works so good that i use this with different Teams and different calendarparts. But i still want to See everything for myself in some Kind of "masterboard" where i manualy synchronize all the parts of the other Boards.  Maybe one can create a function where you can select a sertain area of one Board which automatically synchronizes everything within to another board. That would be very interisting Sure for different other ideas.  Greetings from Germany

    sound effectsOpen

    As a Board Owner (or facilitator), I want to be able to select and play a sound effect to the Board Participants; so that I can make an events proceedings i bit more engaging if i need/want to. Only available for Owner/Co-Owners (facilitators) please. The current Timer music/chime is really helpful.   But it’d also be helpful to be able to play a subtle sound effect.   E.g. bing, rev engine, crowd goes “ooh”, cuckoo, X-Files theme, and so on.   It can inject some light-hearted fun to a session - which can be a magic ingredient sometimes. But it must be used judiciously - otherwise it “gets old” for the participants real quick.Q: But can’t you do that anyway, like at your end?Well, it doesn’t come through very well, I’d need to remember to unmute, and microphones are unlikely to pick up the sound effect from my smartphone, and so on.   Easier to do it “inline”.

    Automatic Cloud DiagramsOpen

    We are using Miro, but we are currently using another tool that allows us to automatically generate diagrams of our cloud resources. This is the only functionality that doesn’t exist in Miro that is stopping us from migrating fully over to Miro.  It would work something like: Miro → Cloud Resource Read Account → Cloud → Read Resources Metadata -→ Generate Diagram

    Accessibility issues in VotingOpen

    We are using Miro in our team, and one colleague of ours uses the macOS Text to Speech (Settings -> Accessibility -> Spoken Content -> Speak Selection ✅) feature on Miro Boards.We are able to use Text2Speech feature on a board with have with Sticky Notes, however if we enable Voting on that board so that members can choose sticky notes, the Text2Speech features does not work properly.  We understand that clicking on the sticky note will make it vote, however the Text2Speech could still be enabled if the user just mouse over the Sticky (or any other alternative solution). I'm providing a screenshot of the board attached. I tried adding a tag to the sticky note but that didn't worked properly during voting as well.Can you guys provide a fix for that?More infos: Device: MacBook Pro - Apple M2 chip Operating system: macOS - Sonoma 14.3 Browser version: Google Chrome - Version 120.0.6099.268 (Official Build) extended (arm64)

    Accessibility: semantic heading levels for textOpen

    I had a workshop with a blind client recently and a major issue for a screen reader user came up. It would be really beneficial if Miro would have semantic heading levels for text. At the moment the Miro board provides no semantic structure for a screen reader. Semantic structure is needed to for a blind user to skim and scan the content, otherwise they need to navigate through the whole board one item at a time to get some understanding what the content is. Using Frames helps a little, semantic heading levels for text would help a lot.

    Accessibility - inform screenreaders when a new note is created or deletedOpen

    I had a workshop with a blind client recently and a major issue for a screen reader user came up. It would be really beneficial if Miro would notify a screen reader user when a new note is created or deleted. At the moment there’s absolutely no indication of these events to assistive technologies.

    it would be great if I could add transparency to images! now, i have to take it out to photoshop and bring in the image overlayed together. i belive most designers will enjoy this feature as it will allow for sketches.

    Board background color should stay when duplicating boardOpen

    Currently board background colours don’t persist when you duplicate a board.It would be great if that information is retained with any board copies - to save more clicks and time to get them back. Thanks!

    prolonging idle timeout to a dayOpen

    I use Miro throughout my day. For a few months now, most of the time I have to log in again due to timeouts.It is the only tool that makes me do that and it frustrates me every time.Please, increase the timout to at least the reasonable timeframe of a workday!Since I do not have an enterprise plan, I cannot influence the settings. I consider getting a pro plan, but as this is only for enterprise, which is not eligible for me as a self-employed person, there is no reasonable solution for me and Miro turns gradually from a tool I love to a tool that annoys/frustrated me.Thanks for changing that! :-)

    User profile setting to turn off kindergarten modeOpen

    Personally, I find it very annoying when Miro constantly shows popups or tutorials about whatever’s “new” (or slightly tweaked) when I open a board, and I have to dismiss all the popups in order to actually do what I came to the board to do.I’d like a user profile setting to be able to turn off these kinds of “what’s new” notifications/popups/tutorials/highlights. If I need a feature, I’m capable of discovering it on my own when I look for it, but I don’t find it helpful or pleasant to have features I don’t need right now constantly being shown to me when I’m trying to get work done.

    Hyperlinks On/Off Feature When Exporting a PDFOpen

    It would be great to have the option to hide hyperlinks from showing / activating when exporting PDFs. Ideally, this is a feature we can turn on / off before exporting.

    I have been loving the new app shortcuts that having been popping up here and there, e.g.:  I have found myself wanting to launch more apps using this method, rather than going to find the app in the left app/content creation toolbar.The most recently example of this has been needing a calculator in several parts of the board.I wish I could do this:

    Please change label of sharing button in project creationOpen

    Our company puts every user in the same Miro (!) team. Now, when users create a project, they stumble across a slider button which label says “Anyone in your team can view boards in this project.” … where many interpret “your team” as their work team. Consequently, we do have many projects which can be seen by too many people.My suggestion is to change the label such that the Miro team is referenced: “Anyone in your Miro team can view boards in this project.” … I think this would raise the chance that people become suspicious.

    Option in private mode to hide the entire sticky note or shapes, not just the text contentOpen

    Finally there is the option to create a private mode (yay) where participants see illegible scribbles instead of text. I would like an improvement on this feature by having the option to hide the entire sticky note,shapes, or anything else that gets added while the private mode is in session. Private mode could be way more versatile for different work cases then is currently possible.I.e. In my case I like to use stickies to create a simple rating system akin to the example here where the colour of a sticky indicates the level/rating.Currently I have no way to have a private session where I want to hide and reveal simultaneously, anything else other than text.

    Share Project Folders with a LinkOpen

    It would be great if you could share project folders with a URL.No matter where you are in the dashboard, different teams, project folders, etc, the URL stays “https://miro.com/app/dashboard/” - this is not useful, especially as I often need to share miro folder locations with my team members.

    Proportional scaling of lines/arrows/jumpsOpen

    It seems there are several people who have experienced the same challenges when it comes to the scaling of line width, arrows and line jumpsIt would be great if line elements could scale proportional to the line width. For example if I pick a line width beyond the “mid point” line jumps become invisible (and arrows become fairly small)

    Retention label option on the 'board details' windowOpen

    My company are bringing in retention labels. Whilst in miro we can add a classification to say whether boards are public, internal etc there is no place where we can say how long the board should be kept for before its deleted. Would it be possible to add another box (similar to the classification box) to the ‘board details’ window so we can add in our own retention labels?
