My team uses Google Chat for a lot of quick communication. It’d be amazing if Miro integrated with Google chat and let us know when we were mentioned in a comment.
In the process of working with Miro for many years, I discovered the following important shortcomings of the timer application:- Time over 10 minutes can only be adjusted by 5 minutes up or down- The time in an already set timer cannot be reduced- You can set the timer for an exact number of minutes (you cannot set seconds)- The sound signal at the end of the timer cannot be turned off manually- Music can only be turned on when the timer is set, and not while it is running. Now it would be very convenient for users to be able to:- Adjust time over 10 minutes to an arbitrary number of minutes- Reduce time in the set timer- Set the timer to the exact second time- Turn off the sound signal at the end of the timer in advance so that it does not confuse the session participants- Turn on music at any time during the timerThank you very much in advance!
Dear Support Team,I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to report an issue I encountered while using Miro.I have noticed that within a table cell, the functionality to group objects is not selectable. However, when I drag the selected objects out of the table, I am able to access this feature without any problem.Could you please investigate this issue and provide guidance on how to resolve it? It seems to be a specific limitation within the table cell environment.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you soon with a solution.Best regards, Jürgen
Feels like an easy improvement to allow users to copy and paste text from placed Google Docs or other files. We have copywriters who post their copy using a Google Doc to a board, and the only way to extract the type without retyping the whole thing is to download it and open it. A lot of extra steps when it seems so simple to allow highlighting/copy/pasting within Miro!
would love if i could tag images in the same way as notes so that I can group and search them
They’d love the ability to turn the entire Miro Card one color and control the opacity. They’d especially like to be able to see the color from a farther distance when they’re looking at many cards. This one detail of being unable to see the color of the card is preventing some of his engineering colleagues from wanting to use Miro for roadmapping purposes.
would love the ability to make custom shapes with polylines and curves. I like to use Miro as a simplified version of illustrator to sketch ideas quickly, having more middle ground between template shapes and pen sketching would be so useful. Especially if those polylines stay free form - the current line selections always try to snap to content and it drives me crazy.
Currently, when I start a Presentation (board or frames), and I toggle creation tools off, the next time I start a presentation, this choice has been forgotten and I need to toggle off creation tools again.Similarly, if I keep the creation tools toggled on, but select all apps/tools, the next time I start a presentation, these preferences have been lost. The behaviour appears to be one mode/configuration for all users, all of the time. I would like my preferences to be remembered at the user level, i.e., for any board that I am on and start presentation mode.
It feels like the easiest path to implement is a “Close All Tabs” right-click or contextual option. A more complete realization would include a consistent point of interaction for the “X” when closing tabs (it currently resizes and jumps to the right, which makes tab management past a few board unnecessarily cumbersome). Hope everyone’s well :)
Hi! I use Miro a lot for study and just now I realized I could open a youtube video inside the board and take notes while watching it. At least I thought I would be able to, but when I click out of the video it stops, doesnt even save where the video was when I clicked out How awesome would it be if I could take notes, do mind maps, etc, while watching the video inside the board?
I was conducting a workshop recently where people had to respond to a video in real time using post-its. The people in the workshop found when they clicked off the video it stopped totally and they had to press play from the beginning again. Having the ability to work on the board while a video is playing allows for more real time chat and feedback. Otherwise you have to tell people to get a pen and paper, take down all their ideas and write them down after, which isn’t as fast. It would be so cool if Miro fixed this!
G’day.I work in the software architecture space and creating large-scale structural maps which can expose successive layers of information when desired is very valuable. Historically, I’ve used Prezi for this purpose to great effect, but since we’ve adopted Miro more broadly, I’d prefer to stay within that toolset for ease of collaboration. However, Miro isn’t quite capable of recreating the information structure and navigation I can readily achieve with Prezi. The primary missing piece is zoomable frames.Frames in Miro are great as a way to structure a walk-through of a large board. However, it would be really useful if each frame was able to set its own relative coordinate system and in particular, set a scale for the frame content. This would allow a Prezi-like experience for drilling down into portions of the board. Importantly, this allows me to keep the details proximate to the summary view rather than scattered across the landscape.Basically, Miro currently gives me horizontal and vertical axis for laying out my content: what I’d like is a depth axis as well. Please consider!
Please add the ability to add the custom tags to Jira cards, including in the planner app.
I would love the idea of uploaded personal videos, audio recordings from my phone to the miro board.
Hello, I would like to request that Miro enhance the diagramming experience and provide a feature where “Connection Line” text will “auto align” to the middle of the “Connection Line” instead of where I select on the line to insert text. The existing capability of being able to select / click and drag the text to a desired location provides great flexibility so this request is not to remove this capability, but to provide an option like “Snap to Grid” where the text will auto align in the middle of the line and then enable the user to make modifications as needed. Thanks in advance for considering this enhancement!
Hi team! It would be nice and helpfull to see the progress bar for jira cards in miro, e.g. if a parental jira ticket has child issues and a part of them are done, the other part is still in progress jira calculates the progress of done-tasks (numbers, percentage).
Proposal: Add an option to limit visibility of objects to a zoom range.Rationale: By limiting object visibility to a zoom range one will be able to reveal details of a component by zooming in to it, instead of jumping to another frame. Explanation: As a Software Architect in ASML, I daily need to present graphs and work on them 80% of my work hours. Miro is an amazing tool we adopter two years ago across ASML, which helps designing software and organizational structures in a very simplified, user friendly way. What I was always missing in other tools used across the company (PowerPoint, Enterprise Architect, Office Whiteboard, etc.), is the proper zoom-in/zoom-out feature, enabling me to start the presentation from the helicopter overview and drive audience to the more details of each component. I did achieve this partially with Miro, but all the component internal “mess” is visible even in the high-level overview. Alternative: It would be also fine if an object could have filling up to the certain zooming level after which it will become transparent, reveling the its interior.
Hi Miro team,I request the ability to view Google search details on images placed in Miro. It would be ideal to click on an image and receive any Google search details. This could be great for team brainstorming or research sessions.
