Want to:I’ve been toying a bit with the idea of having a chat frame on the miro board, so the discussions related to certain miro board contents are next to each other rather than in some external application.Current comment behavior that prevents that: Using comments comes close to that, but there are some ways that comments behave that prevents it from fully working as it could:Pinning state does not persist through work sessions. When a comment is pinned, it is no longer pinned when I refresh the browser tab. Maybe this is intended behavior, but in most cases I’d like the things to be restored to the state I left them in the previous work session. This would allow us to have chat messages always exposed on the board so it would require less work to see the state of the chats when there are many because if they are not pinned, you need to click each tiny comment bubble to open them, which it annoying when there are many threads in the board. Pinned comments are always scaled up in the view, occluding the board. Having pinned comments scaled up like that is not always useful, - if you have many pinned comments at once then they will occlude the whole view of the board. Some thoughts on potential features that could enable it:It seems to me that pinning a comment element does too many behavior changes at once, and it could be more usable in more scenarios if those behavior changes of the pinning option were broken up into smaller sets of options. There are times when a comment chat is so important that it should have a priority on the screen, and some times when it should be ignored almost completely, and some times it is something in the middle. Breaking up the behavior of the pinning feature, and maybe adding some, - we could have options similar to this:Pin to keep the comment thread open, but not scale with the zoom, so it behaves more like any other board element to its true scale is related to its related board contents. When unpinned, it can auto shrink down into its bubble like now. Scale up to bring the chat content into a readable surface when a new comment is sent to the comment thread. So whichever zoom level I am in, the text is legible. If a thread is important enough; Stick, if the chat should come into view from the periphery when it is on the board and it gets a new text message, - so I could easily reply to it without leaving the current position of the board. Bell to get notified on new messages in the comment thread, sent to email, a notification list, etc. With those three options, I couldMake comment threads that are important to me pinned to be open at all time on the board, - and I would not have to click the bubble at the start of every session. pop into view in a legible size when it has a new comment and let me instantly reply on it without having leaving the board position I am currently in. get notified when I am in another board than where the comment thread is. Make comment threads that not important to me unpinned so it remains a tiny bubble that takes as little space as possible on the board. not pop into view and disturb me, unless I am tagged in the conversation. keep my notification channels clean, as I don’t need to be notified. Make comment threads which are curious to me pinned so I can quickly read over the latest state of the chat as I browse the board. not pop into view and disturb me from the board contents that is my main work area. I could choose to get notified about new comments or not, depending on what i want updates about in the notification channels. So yeah, I think in that form the comment bubble could be given more important roles when it comes to bringing the conversation into the board itself.
In the description of a card, once you click and get into them, would be very useful to be able to attach images in addition to the links.
Similar to the Alignment Scale, but adding another y-dimension for using 2x2 frameworks.
I wish I could somehow create an editable group of objects that could be placed in a board multiple times, then when you edit one instance, they all update. This would be great for presentations, reports, and forms. This would be very useful anytime you need to repeat the same reference information, but may want to also edit it again later.
As a Company Admin, I can navigate to All users > Deactivated users, and see the deactived user list. From here, I can search and re-activate or delete individual users. I can choose to bulk delete deactivated users, but only 50 at a time, and there aren’t any options for filtering. For the ‘Deactivated users’ view, it would be great to have the same options presented when viewing ‘Active users’:View total deactivated users Export to CSV Filter Bulk select all based on filtersAdditionally, it would be useful to ‘purge’ or bulk delete all deactivated users (either company users or guests). In my environment, I’ve got probably around a thousand deactived users (that’s an estimate because there is no easy way to tell), some who were deactived as far back as 2018. Even though they’re deactivated, it still has their name and email. In order to comply with GDPR/DPA legislation, I need a way to easily delete this information when it’s no longer required.
There are also some ideas already out for this topic but I was told to create a separate idea for this topic. Nevertheless Upvoting the others might help to push this topic. The issue is, that guests get automatically deactivated after being inactive for 30 days. This option can either be switched on or off. There is no chance to change the days. And the reactivation has to be done by a Company Admin. Especially for large organizations, this is a nightmare. Therefore this feature needs to be reviewed. I see the following solutions:Allow to modify the days for deactivation. Could even be a time range between 30 to i.e. 180 days. Allow Team Admins to reactivate guest in their Team Allow the creation of a role where the reactivation for deactivated guests can be granted. This is for us really a high priority issue as it binds time for the Company admins.Thanks.
Like we have Content Admin and Security Admin roles, have another which which just allows a certain set of users with that permission level to re-activated deactivated guest users.
Hi Miro Team!As a Games Development studio, we have integrated Miro into most of our processes. In one place where we really tried to push Miro was to use it as a UML scheme board and to stop using dedicated UML tools. But unfortunately, there isn’t a convenient way to put comments in Miro UML boards 😭. All that we ask for, is:The ability to change the icon of comment to dot, and lock it size so it wouldn't scale when we zoom in/out. For example, this is a standard comment bubble: As soon as you zoom out it become a messss: Now 😀 let’s imagine a perfect board…. where you can change the comment icon to a dot/small circle and lock it size 😍 It’s one of those little things that make life better.Thank you!
New frames used to default to transparent/no colour, and I honestly cannot remember if Miro would remember if I changed the background colour to something other than “no colour” and would create subsequent frames with my updated colour preference. However, ever since Miro made the change to make every new frame white, I am constantly having to change them to “no colour”.This behaviour is not consistent with the way other objects act during a Miro board session, e.g., Sticky Notes colours and Text and Shape colour/font/etc. Please respect my frame colour selection and use that for all new frames created during that board session. This is also jarring and annoying when I have now set the majority of my board’s background colour to grey/dark grey/really dark grey and every time I create a frame it’s, like, a Big Bang flash of white!
During workshops in large boards ideas to certain topics are caputured in sticky notes with a tag. This is done quickly where the writer is working. It would be nice to be able to search all sticky notes with a tag and align them within a frame e.g. Parkinglot. At the end of a workshop the team could align all parkinglot ideas, all future tasks, just do its…… into their frames.
Timeline object is currently based on tables data that is not part of the store of the board. The Timeline is not supporting version restoration, so when you apply changges to a Timeline object, you are in risk of any edition could not be restored. In addition, what is a high risk: the timeline object has a sync function that allows to keep some data syncro between boards.Timeline object is not having detailed information about what boards will be affected, and you have not option to evaluate the impact of your changes. When you try to restore a board version affected you are completly limited by this risk and impacted. This is not the expected quality of a tool like Miro.
Currently there is an option to collapse or expand one node at a time. Can we have similar functionality at parent nodes where we can collapse all topics under all the child nodes?
Hi all,I’ve been frustrated with this new thing that Miro does, where in the same text box the formatting will reset whenever you create new lines… the formatting does not carry over when press enter… which it literally would in every other text editing app that exist today. So hi Miro team, can we please allow formatting to carry over across new lines within the same text box, please?!That would just save so so much trouble and mental discomfort...
It’s changed to the Monday-first format by default, I’d like the ability to revert that change.
When I use a grid with merged cells the colouring with opacity isn’t working properly.I colour a cell. I set an opacity. I colour or change opacity of another cell. The opacity of the previous cell is set back to default or the last properly saved state.I couldn’t figure out when it finally saves a state and when not. It’s reported and confirmed as a bug.Product Management thinks it has no prio.I work a lot with grids and find this very annoying. It steals my time!
In Tables (Beta), the tables are synced by default. If you create a template with a table, it will add a synced view of the table instead of a duplicate. Could this behavior be changed?
Dear miro-TeamNice that Figma seems now easier to be integrated into a whiteboard with the embed integration function.I would appreciate to have it also available on a more granular functions:Sections Frames / GroupsMy use-case:Designs are coming from an agency and created in figma. With our customers we discuss and review the designs on wireframe level that is typically a frame or section. For Design review miro helps a lot with all the whiteboard functions. In Figma I have to buy a different licence to use figma jam to do the same For Implementation roadmap I like to extract on (wire)frame level the different features. In case the design is updated today I have to copy paste the picture of the frame. Having embedded figma-frames this step isn’t required and the design is always up to date for the dev team. based on case 2 the DEV team has to check min. 1 point less to get the full picture what should be implemented and extraction of implementation tasks is easier. Hope my case is clear. 😆
We are using Github Issues and we would love to have a Github Integration very similar to JiraCards. Since we use Miros story mapping framework for organizing our stories, it would be great to sync the releases of the story map to the milestones of the Github issue as well. The current integration (with Zapier) is does not meet our needs, as this kind of integration does not sync the cards in both directions.
Can you give please support video files. I need to be able to quickly drop mp4s onto my canvas. Linking from YT or Vimeo is a flawed experience and ruins the clean look of Miro. I’m fine if this is only supported with the payed plan, but it’s preventing me from subscribing.
After copying and pasting data from excel into Miro, there are 2 options: table format or sticky notes. There should be more options, like mind map nodes or the ability to convert. And would be ideal to be able to select multiples and convert.
