For me the Miro - Jira integration works like a charm, except for one issue:

When converting an entire Kanban swimlane of Miro cards with the bulk convert to Jira option, all the markdown, bullet points, line breaks etc. get lost.

You have a nice and simple editor available for the Card description. But making the description more readable with markdown, bullet points and line breaks is now useless when I want to convert them to Jira issues. It gets lost on the Jira board, but also disappears on the Miro interface, because the Card interface is replaced by the ‘Edit Jira issue’ modal, which does not support any markdown.

Hopefully, the text editor for the Jira issue Description field can be extended with basic markdown features. This would make the integration much more fluent, without losing information in the process.

Was it helpful?

This issue occurs not only when converting in bulk, but also when converting a single card — which makes it especially frustrating. We've had to add an extra step to our workflow: copying the Miro card details to the clipboard before converting, then pasting them back into the Jira task afterward. If we forget to do this, we're left with a block of unformatted text that's difficult to read or work with.

It would be incredibly helpful if the formatting (or at least line breaks) could be preserved during the conversion process. Hopefully this is something the Miro team can address in a future update!
