When I import a Jira issue as a card in Miro I am only able to resize it with a fixed aspect ratio. I would like to change the aspect ratio to make the card visually better fit in my boards.
Use Case: Ability to create horizontal and vertical rows of sticky notes. If I drag a sticky note up and down the row, I’d like to software to “snap” that sticky note in the line. The grid feature under Frames does this, but it’s only on a horizontal case. To do this now, I: Highlight and grab all sticky notes that need to be moved to make room for the new sticky note. Move highlighted sticky notes out of the way. Grab and drag the new sticky note to it’s new location. Highlight and grab all sticky notes moved from step 1. Move highlight stick notes back to the row. Our organization facilitate remote design workshops and this is one of the biggest pain points for us during the workshops. The time it takes to do this on multiple occasions adds up throughout a 24hr workshop.
At the moment, when a Miro board link is clicked there’s a long wait before you even find out what the name of the board it is, as absolutely nothing is shown during loading other than the loading animation itself, which is a problem because quite often board links get shared via Slack and email without the context of which board it is, so you don’t know which is which and have to open multiple links and wait for them to finish loading so that you can see the board names and zero in on the right one.Plus users of the desktop app who want to open the board in the app first have to open the board in their browser then copy & paste the board name into the app’s search feature to be able to find & open it there, and again have to wait for the board to load before the board name becomes visible. Therefore please revise the loading screen to show the name of the board immediately, allowing users to very quickly confirm which board it is, and to copy & paste the name if they need to.Thanks!
Since we can import tickets from Jira, it would be great if those tickets that are linked in Jira could be displayed as linked tickets on the board (with string)
It would be useful if the Story Map had a feature which allowed me to hide a release (swim-lane, section). In story mapping, releases are time-related entities. Once a release is … released, the focus moves to stories in the next release and the old one is no longer important to see.It would be cool if a release had in its toolbar a toggle “Done” or similar. If checked (toggled), the release content would be hidden, and only the release name would be visible.
I am trying to do a History timeline .. from , well, the beguining of civilization to current times. The idea is to have a overview of big civilization events and trends and then be able to zoom in into the events that mark the centuries , and then zoom in to specific years, events , battles, people etc.. so far this is 1st draft... So I would need a grid that ideally “auto-resize” the dates. But anyway of creating a grid with 4000 columns for years woulkd also work. This sort of timeline would be great for history ( i am doing it for my children..) but also for any kind of organization .. key events etc.. I can also see the use for a personal timeline, calendar , planning , .. where you have like the big Yearly objetives , then break them Quarterly objectives , Monthy -weekly planning and even the Daily to do in a visual way , grouped by interelated projects etc.. Any ideas , suggestions .. ? Let me now Also posted as question in case any suggestion on how to do it / workaround
a pet peeve of mine is wasted screen space and the difficulty when leading an event to talk and click in 6 places to get the correct tool PLEASE can you expand pen and colour and shape options to be a ribbon that fills the side (or where ever) with the frequently used or chosen items. When it takes a click to select pens, then another to get the actual pen, then another to select set size, then another to actually set the size then three to get opacity and three to get the colour its impossible to also talk through complex topics with care and fluid deliveryAs evidenced below there is a lot of space that could be filled with th eitems that we frequently access such as a light yellow highlighter, a red star, chisel tipped markers in 6 colours, eraser etc
When you move a board to a new team all existing users of the board need to be invited for the new team. It would be great if you would have the opportunity to include users of the board to the new team when moving a board.
As part of wireframe and ideation content creation we regularly create links external and within our Miro boards. However I have noticed that if you export a Miro board to Best Quality (Vector) PDF you lose the internal “Hotspot” links you have created? It would be useful if these hotspots could be kept so when stakeholders are going through PDF exports they can click as they would within a Miro board especially on wireframes.
As I’m using a Miro Board to teach music (among other things) I thought how useful it would be to have a musical keyboard that I could drop in that is ‘active’ i.e. the keys could be pressed to illustrate intervals/steps/half steps etc.Could get a little crazy being accessed by simultaneous users, but presumably audio could be toggled by Board owner….
Hello all, I am new to Miro and got a workshop with externals tomorrow. Is it possible to restrict or remove the broad download /export function for any external, please? Thanks for any advise or the practicalities here of getting external workshop participants invovled. Kind regards, Sebastian
It’s great to be able to use the Embed feature to embed a board into a website. However, the limitation that I, and others, have identified is that not all information from the board is displayed within the embedded iframe. Specifically, any hyperlinks attached to objects do not display when the board is embedded. A good example has been noted here. (I’m sure that hyperlink works fine.) For now, this is a show stopper for us. We spend time developing workflow diagrams and support diagrams for business processes and management systems in general. These diagrams underpin the processes and systems that we then document elsewhere. In some instances, these may be discrete MSWord documents or PDF documents. However, more often these processes are now based in other cloud based systems (eg. monday.com or SharePoint). Being able to link to specific points within those systems, from within the embedded board, is an imperative for us. I understand that there is the potential to integrate Miro with other SaaS platforms. If that is possible, and if it would solve this issue, then our first preference would be monday.com.
Would be awesome to to add the following features to the voting plugin: Visibility: In many situations we want to have the votes visible on the board as people starts voting. On the latest video on youtube by AJ&Smart running a LDJ session on Miro is an example. Dot Voting: Being able to see the dots on the board enables us to have a visual representation of intentions and priorities. When starting the voting session, we should also pick a color for the dots. Placing the dots at random positions on the shape the person has voted on would create that human feel. Yes, there's a challenge here...to place them without covering the content (In some cases that would be hard). But maybe applying an alpha of 50% on the dots when mouse if over the shape. Hide/Show: After the session is over, we should be able to hide/show the dot votes (the dots) for each of the sessions, allowing us to stack them on top of each other.
When I currently export to CSV (two frames selected with multiple text elements within them), anything with an ampersand (“&”) in the text is exported with the html entity “&”. CSV isn’t markup so exporting the actual charater rather than the HTML entity would be very useful.
Like a text editing program..so I don’t need to create so many text boxes. Can create one rectangle, add text, do some text formatting and then not have to worry about accidently moving an object and messing up the text relationships.
Hello, several times I had problems in the workflow with clients as they had seen the Welcome splash You’ve got to know that I explain how they should use what either in my coachings or in my classes. For me it is always frustrating and it costs time because my clients always asking: What should I do now … And some of them clicked “Let’s start!” But they should not. So please: Could you set an option, where I have to decide if my client should see this or not. Michael
Could you add a way to find unlocked shapes, maybe with a way to page through them and lock them
Could you add a feature similar to how google sheets allows cell locking for guests i.e. the guest can lock THEIR OWN contributions but not unlock other peoples while a board owner can unlock When a template is locked and several fairly new users are active they manage to corrupt each-others content which creates ‘heat’ that it would be useful to avoid
It would be great if, with the mindmapping, the option were available to group multiple nodes together to become a compiled list from one single node. For instance, Say 3 sibling nodes each had 2 listed points; merging these could create the compiled list of 6 points on separate lines in the same box in one thread to the previous joining boxed idea.
There should be a zoom option that’s combining: CTRL + 2 (Zoom selected) CTRL + 0 (Zoom 100%) Suggestion: map it to CTRL + 3 Reason: often you want to zoom into selected items, but they will get way to big
We have had a session spoiled because someone unwittingly started Screen sharing and the host could not identify or recover control of the screen sharing. If the Activity panel logged who started the screen share, this would be solved. Even better would be a way to limit screen share control to the hosts.
