Problem: When I am running workshops several participants tell me after they wish they could have a private workspace to throw around their ideas. I have tried lots of board designs to create a private experience for people but notice watching the cursors that people still look at other peoples work (this isn’t necessarily a problem). My wish is to have some form of private workspace. An idea would be if frames could be assigned to a user and hidden from others. Any work within the frame is only available to the user and maybe the board owner. Just an idea.
My situation:I use a kanban with reusable tasks -- stuff I repeat every week. I have a reserved area in my backlog for these tasks. It can be a hassle to move all of my reusable tasks back into my backlog at the beginning of the next week. I imagine that many Miro users would like to reset reusable sticky notes to specified positions on the board before starting a new session. Here’s how I imagine it would work:Move a reusable sticky note to a location on the board (to which it will return when reset) Click “Reset Anchor” in the sticky note’s edit settings -- this would lock-in the reset location -- it can be clicked again to update the anchor position if needed In the side menu, click a “Reset Board” option -- this would move all reusable sticky notes to their reset location.
Background:One of our users was wondering how come he was able to see a team of which he was not a member (although no boards in it). The cause was that our team settings allowed users to request membership in a team, which is the default setting, and he had somehow submitted a request to join it. This posed a security risk for us, because we have consultants working on our projects, and we don’t necessarily want them to know what other teams we have. We switched off the setting after some very nice support from Miro.Proposal:All security-related settings in Miro Enterprise should default to the most secure option. It should be easy to relax the security settings, e.g. by being presented with a control panel whenever creating a team, and with the controls easily available when administering the team. There should be a document that lists all the security-related settings Miro uses, what they do, and what the defaults are. This would be in line with known good information security practices and prevent accidental disclosure of data because admins forgot -- or didn’t know they need to -- enable the higher-security options on the settings.
Bug report: When moving a screen using a wheel or left button of mouse: paint lineThis feature was appeared about 2 months agoRemove this feature. This annoys me and my students!!!We don't need to paint a line this way!!!
I love screenshotting webpages and adding them into a miro board, however it would be great to be able to throw a webpage within a frame (which masks the content) with a functional scrollbar as opposed to having a massive, .png image. Hope this makes sense! Lot's of use cases within prototyping as well.Cheers,Connor.
When I’m designing relations in a charting tool, like Miro, it’s useful to be able to quickly reorder the order of projections (which are typically represented as visual rows in an ERD relation object). Today if I want to change the row order I have to do this by inserting new rows and typing in the values. It is much quicker to do this in Lucidchart for example where you can select the row, depress mouse1, drag the row up/down then release mouse1.
A killer feature to gamify my workshops would be to allow participants to play/work each in their own private areas with a show/hide toggle (for sharing later with the rest of the team). This could be done via frames that are:automatically generated for all present users based on predefined custom templates each frame is granted permissions for 1 user + the session facilitator
Fix spacing on H3 within notes...really weird, especially when compared with the other text options:
Hi, I would appreciate, lists (bulleted and numbered) to be added to “Notes” feature.• It feels like something would have a fairly decent impact to the user with a fairly low dev effort to implement
Add a visual signifier to the “Note” so that others know that there is content in there that can be read.It feels like it would, overall increase adoption of the feature Especially in collaborative environments, what’s the point of adding content in Notes if you don’t think anybody is going to go in there and/or you have to tell/constantly remind them It gets circumvented when most boards don’t have that feature
Hello, we are inviting every now and then guests to our Miro Board and I would be thankful that if not after 7 days Free Users would be converted to Full Users (Or make it a settting that you can opt-in or our for). Best Regards,Raven Tschirschwitz
Hi Miro team,We currently use the ‘Request management’ admin security setting to redirect users to our internal ticketing system when requesting licenses/inviting new users to their team(s). This way we can ensure consistent tracking and approvals for end-user requests. As an admin, it would be great if this feature could also include end-users app requests.Currently, when a user requests an app, an email notification is sent to all company admin. This causes a split in where admin receive notifications, sometimes causing them be missed (either buried in the endless inbox or assumed actioned by another admin because the emails are sent individually instead of on a thread with all admin) or delayed in action, as well as causing confusion for the end users where different Miro requests go through different channels. This would help consolidate Miro-related requests for both end users and admins.
Hi Miro Team! we have Snow software as SAM tool for count user activity in SAS system. Can you please integrate your system with Snow? Complete Visibility for Modern IT - Snow SoftwareWith best regards, Ruslana
Problem: Since many people work with confidential material, the option to use Youtube for internal videos is not possible Currently internal reference videos can only be presented with a text link, which makes it awkward/time consuming during presentations, and also (most likely) lowers the amount of team members interacting with it. Proposed solution: Google drive videos can be embed them into a board (similar to how embedded Youtube videos work).
Have a feature that allows to know how many characters are used in a box. We are using Miro to ideate headlines and description texts and having a character counter would help to stay within certain limitations.
Whatever update Miro made to the sidebar seems to have screwed up the emojis. Although there was some load time on emojis before the update, now it’s gotten much worse. I select emojis from the menu, the emoji icon appears in the sidebar, and then when I click it again, nothing happens on the first click. Sometimes it takes several clicks before the emoji menu will finally appear. This bug occurs on different computers and on different networks, so I know it’s not a problem with my system.
I would like to be able to find/search for all Comments by one user. For example, suppose I go to Search Content → Filter by Type → Comments and search for “Eric Forest.” Instead of seeing comments where “Eric Forest” occurs in the body, it also shows me all comments that Eric Forest has posted.
When you change the colour of a connecting line to an item, the colour of all subsequent lines change to the same colour. This means that if you realise a line near the beginning of the tree is the wrong colour and change it, you then have to change the colours of at least half the subsequent lines.I would like to be able to change the colour of a line without it affecting subsequent lines.
For more task management experience i think that is i can see all the tasks in one place, outside one of the boards, globally, it's will be great
Currently one board can have only one start view. It would be nice to have different hyperlinks that would take us to different start views, in case the space/board is shared by multiple users and everyone wants their own start view.
