It would be very great, if there was a way to just put an simple voice recording without an big workaround into the mind maps. For exemple attache it onto a sticky note to explain some context.
As a Miro Company Administrator, I want to disable/enable the ability for my employees and colleagues (i.e. managed accounts) to collaborate in external (unmanaged) Miro instances and boards. Some challenges we are facing:Hundreds of users in my organisation are collaborating on Miro boards that sit outside our instance, which in turn introduces data security risks. I have no direct visibility of who these users are and the data/boards being produced. Even more concerning, some of these instances are ‘Free’, so they have very limited security controls in place. From an operational standpoint, I am getting asked how people can access certain boards, that I am unable to see. These boards sits on external instances and therefore, I can’t manage them. Several accounts configured in these external instances belong to users that have already left my organisation, yet the accounts are not removed from the external instance. In summary, there are a lot of problems in its current state and we urgently need a way to disable this feature in the future, and do a stocktake of what is currently sitting elsewhere.
When using the date field in a card it would be great to have a month calendar pop-up to help select dates.
Saw a post from 3 years ago with a developer reply saying this feature made sense to add, but it still doesn’t exist. I am a student and have been experimenting using Miro for note taking, which I have really enjoyed. However the main problem for me is the lack of highlighting of text when using the search function. When I am searching for a term in my notes, it’s essential for me to be able to see all the places it pops up so I can read those sentences instead of having to reread ALL of the text in the text box.I would love to see this feature.
Hello,Today, when using the Miro product, if I select the name of a project from the “Dashboard”, a modal is presented with options for editing the project such a the name and members. If I as a user select a project using the menu on the left side of the screen, then select the name of the project at the top of the dashboard, and then change the name of the project and then press the “enter” / “return” button on a keyboard, the name of the project is updated on the window behind the modal, but the model is not removed from the view. It would be ideal for me as a user that if pressing “enter” saves my changes that the modal is also removed so that instead of needing to select a button on the screen I can keep my hands on the keyboard.
GIFs used to play until stopped, but now they only play once. This has completely ruined the function of many of my boards. Please, please make GIFs play continuously once activated again. I understand that this is more resource heavy, but maybe you could just reduce or limit the number of GIFs that can be playing at once.
I’ve seen the feature requests for “code sensitive” (my term) text blocks so code pasted in would retain the formatting of the language, including a Markdown parser. I’m also wondering is a VS Code integration could be added so the code would be displayed and updated like XD integration has allowed.
Hello, it would be great if you could offer a selection “relative” or “absolute” frame connection. Currently there is just an absolute setting , which is a frame fixation by board. In case of rescaling the frame size there could be an overlap, which can be fixed only by moving the frames manually. Is there already an automatic functionality?CheersTibor
Similar to another, slightly less popular digital whiteboard, it would be nice to have a confetti/celebration effect to celebrate milestones, birthdays, achievements, never-ending-stories, etc.To start, this would be a simple action that any team member could execute. Here’s an example:Thanks to @Floor Verschure for posting about this. And to @mlanders for his supporting idea as a way to automate the trigger of this (and other) action vote for @mlanders idea here → Triggered automatic / Automatic action
As the company admin I’ve found that the FL program to have significant pros and cons. I like the fact I can add licences & I don’t need to worry about the numbers at any time, but we have found managing the licences a challenge. Our interpretation of the licence allocation rules under FLPFull licences must be held for a minimum of 3 months Full licences cannot be reallocated to a individual within 3 months - if this does happen, then the allocation will be considered a continual licence allocation It’s apparent that Miro compliance have a strict rules approach - we think it’s: Licences can only be downgraded after 90 days of non-use (not a min of 90 days use) Licences can be reallocated after this time to the same user - as the 90-day window of non- use will have expired, so it's a new allocation Licence use is deemed to be the allocation the licence rather than its actual useWhat this means is that we have licences unused for several months - for use right now at 90 days it's 13 users, for 60 & 30 days it's 50+ users (the Miro admin UI doesn't give us stats on more than 50 users) What we'd like to see are enhanced licence management tools (and compliance) that will: Identify when people have used the licence for 90 days +, but haven't used the licence for x days (could be 30, 60, 90) Identify where a licence has been downgraded after the 90 days use, but upgraded again within the following 90 days - to be treated as a full allocation in this period. This is a request to a) clarify the rules of FLP & b) provide more effective licence management and analysis tools. This is impossible to do at present - and right now we have a situation where we have several licences being sat on by people who have been allocated the licence and aren’t using them, or have used the licence some months ago, but are no longer active users.
on Miro Status - Incident HistoryEven its read by geek, that still read by human and this date format Jun , - UTC1217:4321:01 is not realy the most readableI don’t know if its an atlassian bug or a miro.Com misconfiguration.
I have a small set of arrow heads I frequently use in my diagrams, but the menu of arrow heads is sometimes collapsed to show only the first 4 arrow heads, requiring an extra click to access the entire selection. The set of 4 arrow heads are always the same. I would appreciate it if that set could instead contain the arrow heads I’m most likely to use. It’s a very minor thing, but small things tend to irritate over time.Collapsed selection of arrow heads
When collaborating, a selected object (eg. a frame) is dimmed when it is selected, making the thing that the group is collaborating on difficult to read. Could you use a different way to indicate the selection that doesn’t impede the ability to read the selected thing?
As you know, now we can set a period of time for audit logs to be deleted. This is great new feature. But, if someone (admin) change this setting, no record was logged about this changing.I believe that the all changing for the auditlog settings should be logged into auditlog. when and who changed it.I hope this feature will be implemented!!
Similar to the download function for the entire Active Users list, an identical function to export/download the Users list for a team. The value is in offline comparison of memberships. This in turn supports our SOLL-IST comparison process.
As a product manager, when I explore complicated problems with SMEs and stakeholders during discovery, I need an easy way to step through the logic that has guided key decisions to date, so that we remain on the same page about how we got here and where we’re going.I wish there were a way to create a self-service mind-map presentation. I’ve tried presenting mind maps by breaking them apart and futzing with slides, but the map’s continuity depreciates with this approach, making it harder to retrace steps.Navigation apps solved similar problems years ago when they switched from numbered, turn-by-turn directions to animated navigation. There’s a lot you could borrow from Google Maps/Waze/etc. to solve this problem in a way that might be intuitive to most users already.Example:Set a starting point and a destination on the mind map Navigate through the route automatically See and hear annotations along the way Choose different routes Nest maps inside maps to provide the right amount of detail as users zoom in Example 1: You can see all the stores in a mall via google maps, but not from 50000 feet. Example 2: You can click on markers for national parks to view hiking trail. Let folks know when they’ve arrived at the destination Ask them to rate the route at the end, flag hazards along the way, etc. Drop this little guy in and take a look around.
We currently use Flexible Licensing in our Enterprise Account. Some of our users are just using miro once in a quarter to provide feedback during PI Planning. For this a Full license is better than a Free-Restricted. On the other hand we don’t want to pay for them for the whole year. So downgrading them back to Free after each PI Planning would be really useful for us.
Hi, There are too little attributes / information in the user list (exports). As an admin, it is essential to know how the users use the tool effectively.e.g.How many boards they created/edit/opened in past 1 week / 1 month / 1 qtr? How long do they spend on the boards? How often they use it to collaboration in real time? How many boards do they own?etc.I’d hope that Miro can think in customer’s view and develop more data-centric data for user profile. Thanks!
Very simple : add a button for Clearing the Entire BoardThe board can pan and zoom so it becomes messy after a while with things “forgotten” on it.The board could be easily cleared in the middle of a presentation in order to quickly present a different idea. Please add the button now. If you need help with HTML coding for an Action to Clear everytjing let us know. Thanks,
