Plase stop forcing users to see, move, and close their own sidetabs every time! the amount of time I lost doing this is ridiculous. No other program forces to do this. Fasteness use to be a Miro thing, not sure anymore.

Agreed, please have the side bar shut by default. I am smart enough to understand multiple boards and spaces exist, don’t force it in my face

I keep getting these popping back up again now after having closed the sidebar in an open tab. This happens for a Chrome tab if it is open when I close and reopen my laptop. I really do not want these to keep appearing as I often share my full screen in team calls to toggle between tabs and different boards. No one else needs to see my recent activities and what other boards I am working on. Now I cannot trust that the sidebar doesn’t open back up after shutting and reopening my laptop so I am having to adjust my way of working which is a real inconvenience consideting how integrated Miro now is in my daily workflow.

I do not see the point of this feature at all, it’s enough to know it exists.

I find this sidebar very annoying and there is no way to change this except custom user-script :(

This is still really annoying. Kinda fed up of Miro making UI & UX changes for us without any way to customise it.

What's funny is that we actually had to create a dedicated discussion thread and keep pleading in the comments for the dev team to remove this feature.

This issue has apparently gone on for a whole year, and the feature doesn't provide any benefit nor has it been improved.

Think about it—you walk into Walmart to buy something, and the moment you enter, a security guard opens a bunch of menus asking if you want to go to the gas station instead? Or McDonald's next door?

For crying out loud, I came to Walmart to do Walmart things. If I need to go somewhere else after I'm done, I'll open the menu myself to check.

But definitely not when I'm walking through the door, right? What are they even doing?

And another thing:

After opening the sidebar, the same button position somehow turns into a home icon, and clicking it again takes you back to the dashboard instead of closing the sidebar.

This is the weirdest design I've ever seen.

If I want to go back to the dashboard, why would I open the sidebar > click the home icon?

I could just click the Miro logo, couldn't I?

The overall design of the sidebar is extremely user-hostile. There are tons of other websites like YouTube that have solid sidebar designs to reference, but the Miro team insists on going their own way and showing the wrong content at the wrong time.

I'll say it again: your sidebar feature is *completely useless* for the content of the current whiteboard.

If I want to jump between multiple whiteboards at the same time, I'll just open a dashboard tab. Problem solved, 100%.

I'm sure some mobile devices might need the ability to switch to other whiteboards from within the current page, but no device ever needs to jump to a different whiteboard the moment you enter one.

Please fix this quickly and prioritize it at the highest level. And tell the PM team to let go of their pride.
