Hi,
Is there a way to specify the exact dimensions for a shape? Say I want to make a 6x2 rectangle, is there a way to do that by entering in the exact numbers versus just eyeballing it?
Thanks!

I would like this feature. I’m considering using Miro for a near-term product roadmap and being able to set an exact size of a shape (to correspond to estimated development effort vs. team capacity) would be helpful.
This is a key feature for me. It would be great to be able to use Miro for simple planning of rooms etc. but you must be able to specify the dimensions of objects for it to be useful.
I’m kind of OCD when it comes to shape size. This would really help stop me from spending too much time making them pixel perfect.
Its a critical feature so we can create objects to scale and relationships between thems.
Being able to define for example amount of pixels each side of a shape will have
Hear! Hear!
I was thinking the same thing… use the Jira interface, then scale the User Stories cards to a size related to Story Points.
A first step to specifying the size would be to observe the size. Feedback before feedforward beats no control.
Please add this. Please.
Go go go ! It’s very interesting for wireframing and having good proportion.
Please, just make this feature! It's really useful and important for drawing wireframes.
Being able to manually re-size multiple shapes, to the same size, at the same time would be very useful for us OCD types.

Hi Everyone,
We’ve marked this Wishlist Idea as Delivered → Find out more about this feature in this Help Center article.

Miro Community Team
I’ve looked in the Help Center Article, I still don’t see anywhere you can manually edit the size of a shape like the “Idea” suggests.
I agree with Mr Harrison. The Help Centre Article only shows how to toggle dimensions as a view-option. Although this is a helpful feature, I think this is not really what this community thread is about.
I would really welcome the option to edit dimensions of objects manually, so not by using the mouse to drag and resize an object but by entering values for width and height (for example 200 by 200).
Does someone need to begin a new thread about this issue? They marked it as "Delivered," but it was not delivered.
When I saw that Miro "Fixed" the issue, I thought it would be great, but I was wrong.
The only time I can see the exact dimensions of a shape is when I am creating it (and dragging the corner to see the dimensions). Once I let go of the mouse button or trackpad, that's that. I can no longer see the dimensions of my shape. From there, it is a guessing game for trying to size it correctly.
Professionals are using Miro to create professional-looking presentations, and every single presentation, drawing tool, or page layout tool I have ever used in my 30-year design career has a dialogue box or input box to specify the width and height of a shape after you've created it.
How long will it take before Miro adds this functionality to the app?
I am amazed that this doesn't exist, and I waste an incredible amount of time in this app just trying to create boxes that are the same size.
Finding this thread and realizing that a) it’s still not possible to do this in Miro and b) the development team misunderstood what people were asking for, marked it solved, and then stopped replying — over a course of FOUR YEARS really gives me pause when deciding to renew my yearly payment to Miro. Not having a feature is one thing (and this is a pretty key feature for any design program) but not listening to your community is a HUGE whiff.
I noticed this week that when you hover over the edge or corner of an object, the size appears now. For a time, it would only show me the size as I created the shape, and no more after letting go of the mouse or trackpad.
It has been a little easier to create and manipulate some boxes on a whiteboard I am working on this week than it used to be. However, it's still absurd that a presentation app doesn't allow users to key in sizes to objects. Miro might be the only presentation app I've ever used that doesn't allow you to do that.
I understand it may be on purpose because the intent of Miro is for ideation and quick thought processes. But I've been able to rapidly create some pretty intense storytelling boards for clients versus traditional tools that were a big hassle to finesse with any design precision but knocked my clients off their feet when I presented.

Thank you for the reply,
Hi everyone,
Thank you for your continued feedback and detailed insights about this feature request. I understand how important it is for many of you to have the ability to manually input exact dimensions for shapes, and I appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your use cases.
While this thread is currently marked as Delivered, I see that several of you have noted that the specific functionality you’re looking for does not appear to be available in its current form.
I’ve flagged this with the Miro team to clarify the status of this feature and ensure it aligns with the expectations outlined in this thread. If there has been a misunderstanding or if the feature wasn’t implemented as intended, I’ll work to have the status of this idea updated accordingly.
I’ll provide an update here as soon as I hear back from the team. Thanks again for your patience and for being part of this conversation!
Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience. After we reviewed the comments, it seems there was a misunderstanding regarding the status of this idea, and it wasn’t delivered as intended. I’ve updated the status back to Open to reassess the feature request based on your feedback.
We truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your use cases, and I want to thank the community members who voiced their thoughts about the update not meeting the original request.
Currently, you can view and resize an object’s dimensions by dragging its edges, but it looks like the ability to manually input exact values for width and height is still missing. You can check out more details on how to resize shapes by dragging in this Help Center article.
I’ve flagged this for further discussion with the team to ensure that the next steps will meet everyone’s expectations.
Thank you again for your patience!
